Here is a quote you never want to hear from a lawyer "I don't want to hear the facts!".
Let me back up a bit. I'll have to shorten my review because like most disaster or 1-star experiences, there are a multitude of "signs" that many could ignore as a client. Most blatantly, the staff surrounding this firm is rude and impatient and lack the basic skill of communication...and that is a large problem when the lawyer herself refuses to deal with clients and has a staff of one act as a stop-gap.
The secondary issue is Stephanie Lake supports staff above her own clients, even when staff shows no modicum of courtesy. What is wrong with this firm? When Stephanie herself finally called, she was in a noisy, busy place, obviously not at work, and was needlessly rude, a sad attitude toward clients who deserve patience and help, not anxiety and fear.
Summary: I don't recommend this firm as they treated me unintelligently and without cause in a bullying manner.

Stephanie lake staff was not the greatest or the worst the only complaint I would have is about the attorney Joseph who didn't seem to want to represent me I could tell in his body language that he didn't want to do my case and commented that he and I were only a few months apart I took it as him saying your too young and I wasn't disable by my appearance he basically judge my well being little did he know about my condition which had gotten worst over the course of three years now I have appealed the case and an currently waiting on the appeals councils to respond I don't think these folks care for their clients they are just doing their job to make their money with that being said I do not recommend STEPHAMIE LAKES SERVICE

disliking ta join the crowd, but I must agree the reviews are highly understated regarding Stephanie. But Im absolutely bewildered as to how she slid thru as an attorney under her retired mother all these yrs.A good example may be (not only did she NOT LIFT A FINGER or LOOK at my records, but used COMPLETELY unacceptable language, belittling statements in attempt to disregard even just the 1 question I'd been trying to ask for YRS, but even threatening me on countless occasions when I tried to address these issues... but get this.. before my 2nd hearing (which its pure miracle i got bcuz throughout her appeal she ramblingly contradicted herself disregarding 1 single fact regarding my case or rather the only 2 substantial facts.. hmm. she finally calls ranting ONLY that we're gonna win because she put a lawyer on my case that grew up with the judge and went to the same school etc.. I said what about the truth? She excitedly shut me down going on about how so many people have $ riding on

STEPHANIE LAKE IS ALL ABOUT COLLECTING YOUR MONEY FROM YOU PERSONALY!SHE DOES NOT CARE AOUT YOU!THE OFFICE DING DONG,S ARE A PIECE OF GARBAGE AND THEY LIE TO YOU.THEY WERE SUPPOSE TO HELP ME OUT GETTING ALL MY PAPER WORK TOGETHER FROM ALL MY DOCTOR,S CAUSE I COULD NOT GET AROUND AS I HAD BACK SURGERY AND NECK SURGERY, AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD DO THIS FOR ME.WELL GUESS WHAT THEY DIDN,T DO IT AND I HAD A COURT DATE SET AND THEY NEW THIS AND THEY STILL DID NOT DO IT.AND THIS WAS THE MOST IMPORTANT ONE AS I ALREADY HAD A COURT APPERANCE THAT I ATTENTED,AND IF I DID NOT SHOW UP WITH UP DATED FACT,S THAT THEY WOULD MAKE A DECISSION ON WHAT THEY HAD.AND GUESS WHAT THEY DENIED ME 2 TIME,S AND IT GOT SENT TO THE COURT IN SAN FRANSICO!AND THEN THEY TOLD ME I WOULD HAVE TO START OVER AGAIN AT THE VERY BEGINING!BUT SHE STILL WANTED MY FEE,S!!DO NOT USE THIS **** LAWYER AND HER GAY COMMERCIAL,S MAKE,S ME WANT TO PUKE!!USE A DIFFERENT LAYER BY FAR PEOPLE!HOPE THIS WAS HELPFUL TO ANYONE.PEACE!!

DO NOT HIRE, Ms. Lake is rude and unprofessional. After the long wait for my hearing I (months) later learned that before the hearing began she asked Judge Baum for a second hearing, I was upset about that, she blamed it on the Judge. I dismissed-fired her and then she lost important records of mine/turned over 42 pages to me of someone elses records. Was mean and is being investigated by the State Bar of Arizona at this time. A class action law suit should be filed against her I believe. From the more I learn.

Incredibly poor customer service/concern. Staff receptionist rude beyond belief. Staff lawyers will not return calls. It's all about the $$$.

Ms Lake is eager to take her 25% fee from disability back payments from clients, but is almost impossible to reach. Her office staff is rude and combative. Ms Lake needs a wake up call that she is to be an advocant for her disabled clients. You would be better served to find a lawyer that is really interested in you and your problems.
