I left a positive review a few years back, I’m leaving another one. he is extremely busy and it's hard to receive answers promptly but he managed so many cases and it's understandable. If you are an anxious and impatient client then maybe he is not for you. Once it’s go time he gets the job done. The other party in my case is conflictual and John doesn't let it affect our goals in moving our case forward. He is great at getting things going in court when the other party is not cooperating. I am still very happy to have John as my lawyer.

John Ramsey terrible lawyer may as well defend yourself in your divorce and restraining order and I did do it myself and still had to pay a ridiculous amount. Do not recommend.

This guy sabatoged my case by negotiating a settlement offer giving my ex more than what he asked for the offer has me also paying almost all of the marital debt. For all that read this review don't agree to anything in a case conference where this guy is negotiating unless your 100% sure it is what you want

A very Knowledgeable lawyer with a lot of experience. No desire to get the best result for his client. Felt rushed and overcharged. Secretary was worse and costed me thousands due to a late email.

This lawyer does not act in clients best interests and over bills. When you question the bill, he threatens to make it greater. People in divorce and custody circumstances are vulnerable and he takes advantage of that, makes poor recommendations and is highly flippant. Did a lot of damage to my case that I Had to repair by representing myself.

Great lawyer only if you are rich and don't care about money. He drags things out in order to increase costs and does not follow instructions. I recorded every conversation with him and mostly communicated through email in order to proves his deceitful and greedy manner. Always record your conversations with your lawyer. There are plenty of free apps on Android and Apple.

Do not I repeat go to this lawyer if you are looking for a fair divorce settlement will not do anything r fight for your rights Only wants money if you have none you will end up with none. Will charge for anything you do even if its the information that he was to obtain. Is only out to line his own pockets.He will agree with everything the other lawyers client states even when you have proof its a total lie. continuous mistakes on court documents. Does not read any information that you obtain. will carry on case until any settlement you get is in his pocket for the bill you supposedly own him for doing no work at all.If you value your worth at all do not go to him. He was my daughters lawyer and did not fought for her rights at all. X owned a garage, which was in her name, a house on 40 acres which had a hous worth over 200.000.oo and she had to settle for 35,000.00. He told her she could not afford him

He is the worse lawyer I have ever encountered. He is so unprofessional. Allows and promotes clients to submit court documents that are complete hearsay. Affidavits get expunged because of this. Terrible selfish lawyer. If you are vindictive and want to win your case by being selfish, this lawyer is for you. If you have morals and would like to have some dignity left, save your money and keep looking.

John is by far the worst lawyer I have ever had. He makes mistakes on filing the proper orders. Has protection orders lifted which puts his clients in danger. He drags things on forever and fails to meet deadlines. He does not listen to his clients, nor does he look out for their best interests. He cost me thousand in back pay of child support and S7 expenses and made so many mistakes that I have to file again against my ex husband. Please think twice before using him.

He is one of the busiest lawyers in Winnipeg butthats because he's so good I was lucky he agreed to take my case. He wiped the floor with my spouse and from what she later told he charged one half her lawyer from trizec charged.would always recommended him if you canget him

He does not care about his clients, nor does he listen to them, he doesn't want to complicate his cases with any details, wants it done fast. I was so disappointed in his service. Before hiring him I read similar comments and decided to give him a chance and was very disappointed. Don't waste your money on someone who doesn't even care about your case or helping you. Money seems to be the most important thing with him.

Total idiot. I used him ten years ago when my ex took my daughter and ended up with no visitation and paying an insane amount in support. When I went back to court in 2005 to change the order I asked for a copy of my file to take to a new lawyer and he said that he didnt have it, and that I was better off giving up my parental rights and forgetting that I had a kid so I didn't have to pay support anymore. He also refused to change the wording of my affidavits so I ended up looking like a deadbeat dad that didn't care and my ex and her lawyer got everything they asked for and I haven't seen my daughter in over ten years. Wish this site was available before I hired him. Thousands of dollars down the drain just to pay more in support and never see my child. Save your money, take a high school law course and represent yourself. You;ll do better then he will!

Charged me out of sale of my house for doing 0 and it has been almost 2 years and the representation has been 0. Lied to me and jerked me around and now I have 0. Never been to court and this whole system is just a JOKE!!! Have been abused by my ex and now abused to the Max by my lawyer and his assistant. I will be extremely verbal about this to all!!!! I have dates and documents to back me up. Loser Lawyer!!!! and I am being generous.

All I have to say is money talks! When you dont have it your court case takes a lifetime even when it is urgent involving kids, but when you do have it,**** gets done. I tell him what I want and what I am dealing with and I get slack attitude and response. I am not asking for much but he seems like he could care less. Waist of my fing time!

A very hard working Lawyer who will help you out? yes it's true!. John Ramsay has helped me out a few times and i have always been very pleased with the outcome he produced. In the lawyer world i have never got more value from what i spent than from him.

Just finished our case with him and it had gone on over a year. He is busy but always returned my calls at night if he was in court during the day. I felt like he actually did care, compared to our first lawyer, and told us what to expect. He was less than our first lawyer and this time I felt the money we spent was worth it. There is a reason he is so busy and we would use him again if needed.

Horrible lawyer!! Take your money and run! I ended up paying thousand of dollars in expungement fees because he and his staff can't even write an affidavit properly. Impossible to get a hold of- have never been able to get in touch of him by cell once in 2 years. He is WAY to busy to be an effective lawyer. I am sure at one time he was a good... But I had to learn the hard way that he is not anymore. OH! and did I mention with the exception of the receptionist, the rest of his staff is RUDE!!! It was like I was putting them out everytime I called asking questions about my case! I was paying thousands of $$$ for poor quality work. PLEASE take my warning seriously so you don't have to go through the hell I have.

me/my family used him for over 25yrs...he was awesome. now he is useless over my case and trying to get his info...was great when welfare/legal aid paid him..and he charged for court dates i never even got a notice of. but ask him to get info and he has no clue!! wtf he did on my case and wants to charge a $100 for me calling him..$200 to return a call of info over my past issues he handled...loser he has turned into!!! guess the mighty $$ speaks more with him when he rips clients and legal aid off at their expense and his non time on a case. took me 8yrs to find out he over charged legal aid ..only since my ex turned jerk again and i had to pull old files. omggg!! 2 court dates charged for i never even was notified over???/ how can this be!!! now he wants $1500 to even start to go after wtf is owed to me and back issues!! then expects legal aid to take only half on owed from court judgements..that legal aid hasnt gone after? yet they expect me to pay when its his follow up?

You're better off defending yourself. This guy handles far too many legal aid cases to give proper, fair, reasonable or competant attention to his clients. Stay away from this one.

Do a search of canlii.org and read what Judges have said about this mans work. He rarely follows the rules and has so many (legal aid) clients he cannot properly manage any one case.
