Andrea Shapiro is the worst, horrible lawyer I have ever encountered! Incredibly UNETHICAL She lies and talks over clients. She laughs at clients too their face, Incredibly disrespectful! I do not understand how she is not disbarred by now. She seems to be on Drugs in my opinion! She has been taken off multiple referral lists from Uhab and HPD. Do Not use this lawyer not even for a traffic ticket! She thinks she knows the law and she doesn't. She overcharges and hardly gets back to you on messages, Complete sham. She is ripping people off every day. Don't walk away RUN from this attorney, She is absolutely ridiculous to deal with on a professional level.

I echo almost ALL the unethical conduct concerns, especially the lying, especially the portion where she tries to defraud and steal people’s money through false pretenses and trying to defraud the judiciary with utter bad faith lies. Our complaining is not enough. I especially agree that she must be disbarred... Class action?

Everyone on here should get together and file a formal complaint with the NYS Bar. Or go to a media outlet.At the very least she should be warned or suspended. Does anyone have a contact that we can communicate and share experiences? I have caught in her in many lies. And she drags on litigation to continue to charge fees. She is another Michael Cohen.

This lawyer is the worst I have ever encountered. She is entirely unethical and unprofessional. I was due my deposit back and she didn’t want to return it. It took an extensive time fighting her to finally get it back. She lied about the reasons she couldn’t return it. She has poor communication skills and is fraudulent in her claims. Be very careful. She’s a dirty lawyer. She’s a thief. She doesn’t have any idea about law... she’s good at manipulating the law to work for her convenience and to take advantage of people and harassing them at the same time.

This lawyer is a CON, she is untheical, rude , belittle people , try to intimidate, manipulate their clients in order for her to drag a case so she can charge more fees. She will have cases open for years in order to continue charging. She is not knowlagleble on DOB, plumbing and electrical codes or construction documents on any type of renovation. Be aware that she will fabricate things and add things that are untrue. Any coop or buyer that will use this lawyer be prepare to be treated without respect. She will scream at you and not let you speak , she will over charge for services that she haven’t provided. She is never interested on resolving anything amircably in order to go to court because that is how she will make more money. She also sounds and act like if she is drunk and verbally aggressive to anyone. An investigation should be done on her and her practice, she should be debarred.

Usually a lawyer has much work to do, such as the Attorney Andrea Shapiro. As a lawyer, she can be located easily. When she moved from office, she notify customers her new location immediately. She is a responsible, honest, tenacious in their work, in other words she can be recommended as a good lawyer. Well that was my experience.

This lawyer is horrible!! Not only is she incompetent, but she refuses to communicate with her clients in a timely fashion! Instead of getting to the bottom of problems, she rathers to leave legal issues unresolved, even after 8 YEARS of building's conversion to HDFC. She is never reachable. She even moved from her current office without notifying her clients of her new office location. Don't walk away, RUN from this lawyer. You'd be better off representing yourself.

This attorney is excellent. She will not back down from threats and devious machinations from people who are afraid of her directness and integrity. A building with her as their attorney can feel safe that they are complying with the law to a "T" and will not be manipulated nor intimidated by those with special interests.

In my case I can say that for more than five years this lawyer who specializes in real estate has proven to be responsible in all cases where it has worked. I have NEVER seen during these years that this lawyer had alcohol during their work. Always proven to be very professional with what she does and very efficient with their cases. I can personally say that the cases assigned to work, she won them all. So I was very pleased, but of course that the losers do not. Probably maybe they can put their bad references because they lost.
This lawyer is very dedicated to what she does. It is very aggressive and passionate about what she does. I give five stars as a professional.

This lawyer is underhanded and fraudulent. There also are signs of drinking. Constantly confused and angry. This lawyer is not to be trusted. This lawyer lied, her clients lied and got caught in their lies. Because she has relationships with judges, she will orchestrate the outcome of cases. Watch out for this lawyer...one day someone's gonna catch her and housing court is going to be in a big scandal. She works mostly with the slumlords...I know of know cases where she helps the tenant. This attorney needs to be investigated and reported to the Bar Association.
