Joanna will take your retainer, keep billing you for more money, promise you services, represent you poorly, she doesn’t return calls or texts in a timely fashion; lack of communication, and then tell you she doesn’t want to represent you anymore in the midst of your case. You are left broke, without representation, and panicking to figure out finances for another retainer for a different attorney. Don’t waste your time and money with her. Every other lawyer out there is better.

I didn't win my divorce, but not because of Joanne.(I had to end it because of a ailing Mother) She is great to work with and really easy to talk to. I refer her to everyone I know in need of a Family Lawyer. She's not a dirty fighter but a fighter. I hope I don't need her again but she was great!

Joanna was initially recommended to me by a co-worker and she is the single best family attorney I've ever experienced. I was a father trying to just get a standard visitation agreement to see my daughter. My ex routinely used the courts to try and disrupt my life by violating any agreements and filing various things just to run up my legal bills and adversely impact my employment. Joanna quickly put a stop to that and helped me get a solid visitation and joint custody agreement as well as advocated for me effectively in child support hearings. It would be accurate to say that she both saved me money in the long run and even more importantly ensured that I could have a healthy productive relationship with my daughter.

Joanna was my lawyer for my divorce. She was to be there to make sure I was ok- instead I spent a lot of money and my house was not settled durning the divorce my ex put the house in foreclosure and when I contacted Joanna to tell her that I was upset she dropped. She got her money I got bad credit.

She was in charge of my divorce case. She never returned phone calls and her work was lowsy. I ended loosing a lot of money.

Joanna was excellent in providing me guidance throughout the years of ups and downs involving my custody and child support case with my son's father. I would recommend her to anyone (and have).

I wanted to drop my first name and Ms. Furia said she was experienced in this area. Concerning fingerprints she failed to tell me that I would need an appointment (which she did not know and a card x the fingerprints). I decided to go to her office to clarify what had to be done. At this meeting she got offended when my husband and I complained about her secretary. We were respectful all the time but she lost her temper and said she did not want to represent me. Ms. Furia then told us to wait in the reception area and she would refund my check. Ms. Furia next told a man who had been in her office to write a check for me. This man replied he would do so as soon as we left the building. He told us he would bring the check out to the parking lot. When he came out he gave me the check, told us he was the "office manager", and ordered us off his "property", stating that he was "friends with the Chief of Police" and would have us "arrested" if we did not leave his "property".

Joanna did a divorce and custody agreement for me. She was vigilant at working toward securing custody.
