I have Sam help me on two personal matters in my life, one a difficult child support issue with an ex out of state, and one a medical malpractice situation. With both cases, 10 years apart from each other, I found Sam to be a very caring man, generous with his time, and knowledgeable with his information. Like many people out there I was going through a divorce with a small child in the picture. Being a man I felt as though my chances of just getting equal custody would be difficult. I had two attorneys prior to Mr. Filler and they didn't seem to have the desire to fight for me and my desire to be VERY involved in my sons life. I was very frustrated and fearful that I would not be able to see my son grow up. I came across an old friend of mine who knew Mr. Filler and utilized his professional services and suggested I give him a call. I set up an appt. with Mr. Filer and he listened carefully to what I had to say and he assured me that I had a very good case. I retained him and he fought passionately and diligently for me in my divorce and custody. After a long process my divorce was finished and I got PRIMARY custody of my son who was 3 years old at the time. I truly feel that Mr. Filler is great man who believes in helping people get through difficult times.

Mr Filler treated us with great respect and was very helpful with our legal matter. He showed great professionalism and made us feel that we were in very good hands. I was extremely happy with my legal presentation from Samuel Robert Filler. My divorce was just finalized, and I am relieved to have closed this chapter in my life. I would and have recommended my attorney to other friends who are facing similar situations. At our very first meeting Mr. Filler carefully explained what I could expect from each stage of my case. He was open and honest we me, and always responding to my inquiries and status concerns. I felt very comfortable with him and his staff. Without giving all the details, to sum up this "attorney": Did not return phone calls, did not research the case, did not listen to our wants/needs, lied to us, overcharged us for services, we would have been better off without him. Very unprofessional, we will be filing a complaint against him and his charges, we hope others will do the same to help keep the system clean of these types of "attorneys". He should not be in business, not allowed to represent people in court.

On November 12th 2009 my fiance & myself went to a court hearing held in Seminole County regarding non payment of child support. My fiance's soon to be ex wife claimed he was noy paying suport. So We went to DCF and got a print out of the payment record showing he was payed up to date. Last payment was on the 11th. They demanded 1000.00 by 2pm or he ws going to jail. They did not review any documents we had. So went went in for a free consult. He refused to look at any of our documents and demanded 2500.00 just to take the case. He also threated to kick me out of the office if I dident stop trying to show him our documents. e said just pay the money or go to jail. He was the worst Laywer I have ever come in contact with. Also I got the impression he was extremely ****. We are a mixed family and he told us within the first 2 nimutes that we couldent afford his services. Avoid him at all costs.

He charged me for a service processor then served the other party via mail. The service therefor was invalid and refused by the other party's attorney. He wanted another $1000 to dispute the validity of the mail service which I declined. He then hired a process server but this delayed the process. When I inquired about this, he said I could pay him $500 and he would serve the other party. I fired him and hired another attorney. This was for child support modification. It should have been settled in 2 months. It took 7 months. He never explained that arbitration was a part of the process. He also said that the modification would be retroactive to the filing date. That is not true. It is a point of negotiation.

Run the other direction from this "lawyer". Very unprofessional on all levels, communication, appearance, knowledge. I was advised to report him to the bar. He was a waste of money and made a difficult time in my life even worse. Be warned!!
