My Mother in Law died back in Sept, 2008. She had tried to file Bankruptcy months before her death and this attorney advertised that the first consultation was free. She and my husband saw him and she decided to retain him. First she had to pay the 1500.00 fee, because he had mentioned he had been ripped off so often that he wouldnt do any work till the amt. was paid in full. She began to make payments and had paid $900 at the time of death. We never expected to get the full amt. back but we did expect some. Here's how he decided to hadle the money. She owed 1500, pd. 900 -- If she had paid the full amt. he would have returned 600 to us but since she didn't, there would be no refund. Ironic how that worked out that the exact amt. she paid was for retaining him. He did absolutely nothing. No filing, no court appearance, no paperwork. This man's is the exact reason why attorneys have the name of "Sheister". Beware consumers, he steals from the dead.
