This lawyer was hired for a child support mdification case with the understanding that the case would be heard by the Court within 45 days as the Petitioner had a significant reduction in income. After the lawyer accepted the fees, she advised the Petitioner that she would wait until after he made monthly child support payments so that she would have something to fight for, but she was advised of the arrears at the beginning. This was a bait & switch case as the Petitioner was behind in child support & needed to have his case heard by the Court so that he could inform the Court of his extreme financial hardship. She filed the case & the opposing party did not have an attorney and was allowed to do nothing & was not found in Contempt. After making monthly payments the opposing party hired a lawyer (Ms. Williams-Lewis & the lawyer are well-acquainted.) The case was dismissed & our lawyer refused to have the case reopened. She took $1200 from us and set us up to fai. Do not hire her.
