Worst pos atty in town. Doesnt know the law & with his mother wking as his secretary, nothing gets done. Hard to reach. I couldve saved my money for a better atty

Stimpson can be a little gruff and slow, but boy is he tough in court. After having a bad experience with another attorney, I switched to Stimpson and he completely had a different vision of how our case should go. While he was slow to file things when he said he was, when the time came he was tough on my opponent and did not put up with anything from the other attorney. The guy is tough as nails in court. His rates are probably midrange for the attorneys in this area, but he is a fighter in court and if the opposing client is being unreasonable he has no problem calling them out in court. Definitely someone to consider.

Stimpson is a great arguer and very good in court. I was actually pleased with that aspect. However, what I wasn't pleased with is how rude he can be to you. Part of his problem is his mother (a very sweet woman) is his paralegal and when I had a case with his office, she was constantly out meaning a lot of things never got done. You would be promised one thing and then months later it wasn't done. His tenacity isn't where it needs to be. He works way too slow on a case. If you want something to be settled quickly pass on him, but if you are patient you have a good chance.

I hired Stimpson last year for a case that I was told would likely take two or three months. Well after three months not a single thing had been done and was not communicated with. Frustrated I kept calling and was treated very rudely and made a lot of promises about what was going to be filed within the next few weeks. The next few weeks became months, and the case went on and on with the settlement eventually being a simple one that could have been agreed upon probably within a few weeks. I was out a ton of month, treated rudely, you name it. He knows law well and with his attitude he can definitely get under another clients skin but his lack of communication, shortness with the client (he is much more friendly on the day you hire him and make your sizeable payment), and his inability to make even a simple case drag on, it is hard to have a positive feeling about him.

In court, Jeff Stimpson is pretty tough on the opposing client and attorney. In that regard, he is great. Dealing with him is another story. He is slow to respond to anything and takes forever to file. If you want a case won quickly, there are faster attorneys. You have to stay on him to get anything done and he doesn't always operate with a sense of urgency.
