Would not take suggestions regarding questions to ask witness who the client new and the background. Said to me on two occasion "If you do not like the way i am handling your case I will refund your money". This statement is made like 6 months into getting a date for a hearing. told me that your 45 days start to appeal after you receive a denial from the board in the mail. CITIZENS BEWARE, THE STATUTE READS IN WRITING, EXCEPT WHEN THE DECISION IS MADE ORALLY AND BOARD TAKES A VOTE AND YOU ARE DENIED, THAT IS WHEN YOUR 45 DAYS START, iF YOU WANT TO BE SAFE AND YOU ARE APPEALING THAN DO IT AND USE THE DATE OF THE HEARING WHEN THE VOTE WENT AGAINST YOU. Wanted to charge me 75.00 for my records to send back to me. I may lose my appeal because of his lack of knowledge of when the date is used for your appeal, 45 days from your oral denial not when you receive the letter!!!! RID: 209184

I had e-mail communication with him detailing the circumstances that led to the denial. Then he asked to see him for an appointment in his office, which I did. He handed back documentation supporting my case, and wrote a 50% refund check. He stated that (paraphrased) our personalities "would not work well" and that I have specific ideas about this case "that wouldn't work". His tone suggested that he really wanted to get rid of me, so I did not press any additional questions. Did I e-mail him too much? Did I say something that pissed him off? Was there some particular aspect about my case that he felt he couldn't get involved with? He never directly communicated with me about possible problems/issues BEFORE the last appointment. At the last appointment he didn't go into any details. He just seemed keen on parting ways. No recommendations other lawyers who specialized in pistol permit denial cases, just said "you RID: 178568
