Ken Haak is a wonderful lawyer. He is very knowledgeable in Real Estate. His office was welcoming, his staff were responsive and communicative. His fees were very fair. Would highly recommend for all your real estate needs. Do not listen to the bad reviews. Experience it for yourself.

Ken Haak completely dropped the ball, cost my family and finances a lot of harm. I politely asked for a fee refund (because incompetence and miscommunication happens not much you can do after, no point being angry). He pretended we never spoke and refused to refund his fee, gaslit me completely. No class, no human being integrity. Truly shameful. In addition, nobody in that office is ever available. They can lose your file, delay your paperwork, can ruin your deal in a million ways.

Great people, great staff, made me feel at home in a process in which I was way over my head in. Some minor complications came up, and explained to me in person why he had to handle things the way he did in order to preserve our best interests. I will, and have recommended him .

Used numerous times over the years. Always excellent and no problems. Helped me with a bad building contractor where he was representing me and managing my draw mortgage. I ended up in litigation with the contractor and won the case.

We had an awful experience dealing with Anderson Haak & Engels, primarily with Kenneth Haak and his assistant, BettyAnn Costain. We purchased a home, and things seemed to have gone smoothly. We then had to move one year later, and decided to use Kenneth again, as we believed things had gone well. We learned that details were missed with the first home when we used them as our lawyers & it lead to a nightmare when we had to sell. They not only refuse to take any responsibility; they also refuse to give us info that was originally promised to us so that we could recuperate our costs in small claims court from the original owners. It’s been six months now, and they will not return any communication. Emails and phone calls made to the main reception have gone unanswered. We are now left w/ thousands of dollars gone from our savings, all because Kenneth & BettyAnn did not do their due diligence the first time around, or follow through with their promises the second time. Avoid at all costs.

I actually had the opposite experience. Ken Haak and his staff were right on top of all documentation and ensured that I had the proper paperwork complete and in on time! The property had minor issues, from which he managed to protect my interests in the property! He is one of the best lawyers in the Central Alberta and has a solid reputation!

He reviewed the wrong condo documents, I had to call multiple times to get the information I needed, he did not meet the deadlines except for the closing, the one face to face meeting we had he was 30 minutes late for it. This was a fiasco from start to finish and I will never use or recommend him.
