Do yourself a favor and get a real attorney. I suffered with her through a divorce and child custody matter that due to incompetence and lack of follow through went on much longer than it should have. She was never prepared going into court and had several things completely wrong in what she presented to judge, which I had to correct. Unprofessional doesn't begin to cover it... She thinks she's a therapist and will focus on so,etching completely out of context and make remarks that are extremely out of line and then spend your time talking about her children, scout camps or politics, while not actually putting your case as a priority. I finally realized that I would never get anywhere with her even though it cost me thousands to get a new attorney at the point we were at, but new attorney had it resolved to my favor in 90 days. Wish I'd walked, no RUN, MUCH sooner. Very relieved that she lost the judicial election.

Julie is an incredible person who knows what needs to be done for her client. She has an incredible heart of gold and will do anything and everything she can for her clients. She helped my family though a bankruptcy and that went very smoothly and without any issues.

Julie Byrd needs to learn how to represent the client and not her self. She has a real problem seperating her professional life from her social life. she is more concerned about politics than winning. Maybe she needs to go into politics and leave the court room to real lawyers.

Did not submit discovery documents. Held up processes. Slandered my name to third parties. As a former service member, I urge you to read reviews for any attorney you are about to hire! Remember you can place a formal complaint with the TN Board of Professional Responsibility.

Julie Byrd represented me in a contested divorce trial in December of 2011. She carried me through a difficult ordeal, fought for me and won more than I could have ever hoped for ... in alimony, attorney's fees and my share of retirement assets. What she predicted at the beginning was what I got in the end...and more. Her fees were 1/3 of the other attorney's fees total. She responded to my e-mails and telephone calls and texts on nights and weekends. I am never getting married again, but I highly recommend her to anyone else who is getting a divorce.

Terrible, she cost over $125,000 in alimony because of her poor preparation for my divorce. I got her censured because her poor performance.

Would not recommend and as other person posted-STAY AWAY! From 1st court appearance, I was behind 8ball, so to speak. I gave her information and she didn't do much with it; when she finally did, ex's drug use, we appeared petty IMO. I only received 1 bill during the entire time I was using her services and to this day no final bill but she made sure to let new lawyer and anyone else around know what I owed her in courthall! I was always hearing about family and what she thought of other lawyers. When I asked her about possible ruling by judge to motion other lawyer made, her response was DONT KNOW! She was very rude at final court appearance after judge ruled in favor of other lawyers motion again. I called and emailed her several times afterwards-she never responded or returned calls. I released and contacted another lawyer who tried best to salvage-?s new lawyer asked shed light on how bad a job had been done wo saying out loud. I rcvd info that belonged to someone and mine lost.

I was very pleased with the service and product from Ms. Byrd. Professional, efficient, and a good value for the money I paid. She laid everything out, was on-time for her appointment with me, and I walked out with my papers for my husband to sign. She and her staff did what they promised, and I felt like I understood the process and what was going to happen before it happened. I'd use her again, but I don't intend on getting married for a long time, or ever getting a divorce again. I will recommend her to friends.

Julie Byrd is definitely an interesting person. Here is the way it will work. You will go into her office and be charged 200 dollars to meet with her. When you meet with her, I predict you will initially be impressed. She will come across as a strong, powerful woman and speak with conviction. In other words, everything you want in an attorney. The two hundred dollars is non refundable by the way, but it will be applied to your feeds if she decides to take your case. Otherwise you are out the money, despite the fact most local attorneys give you a free initial consultation. Okay, you like her and decide to use her like I did. From that point on, you will be disappointed. She tends to talk more about herself than the case. She is loud and antimated which makes for great courtroom television (only this is not a tv show) but she tends to tick off the judges more than help you. Most veteran attorneys have a field day with her. Proceed at your own risk when using her.

Horrible, horrible,horrible! Let's just say she is more fond of talking about herself than your case. In court, she goes from being hard noses to passive and let's the opposing attorney walk all over her. When she does starting pleading the case, she resorts to theatrics that only ticks off the judge and her rates-don't get me started.

She is a used car salesman. If you want to use her, you will pay 200 dollars to meet with her which is nonrefundable.She will talk a big game and then in court get pushed around. She is one of the most expensive attorneys in Tipton County but you get nothing in return.

You have got to be kidding more. Julie Byrd will fool you. She is aggressive during her initial meeting with you (you will pay two hundred dollars just to meet with her) and you will think you are getting a great attorney. However, she lets the opposing attorney have his or her way. She is not wellliked by judges and always thinks the woman is the victim EVEN IF SHE IS REPRESENTING A MALE CLIENT. She often speaks about her political views on your time. That is because she really is more interested in the Democratic Party than good representation for you.
