he very bad and do not even think about go to his office all he is going to do make you sign a retainer take your money and never going to do anything to you he took my money and told me GOOD LUCK , i waited six months , if you call his office you wont get any answer regarding your case he has bad manner when he speaks with you after he gets the money , PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY AND FIND ANOTHER ATTORNEY

Completely incompetent lawyer. I am Canadian and moved to the US in 1997 on an H1B work visa and met my future wife in 1998 and were married in 2004. After our marriage we applied for my PR card. He moved his office location no less than 4 times in 3 years, his staff never stayed long enough to understand my case and overall it caused us delays and consequently I overstayed my visa due to Mr. Carrico's negligence. He forced us to pay additional fees to continue the application for the adjustment of status/overstay and got absolutely nowhere with the case. After 5 years and over $10,000 in legal fees, I ended up having to leave my job, leave the US and now I am back in Canada with a 10 year ban on returning to the US due to the failure of the overstay application. My marriage is over and our children are split up as a result of Mr. Carrico's complete lack of care and knowledge. He is by far the most incompetent person practicing law. STAY AWAY FROM THIS LAWER!!!

I too waited over a year to write this review about attorney John Carrico. Mr. Carrico tells you what you want to hear in order to get your money, once he has your money he does nothing for your case. Every time we went to go see him for a status update on our file, he acted like he knew nothing about the history of our case and rushed us out of his office. If we stuck with him I feel the end result would have been horrible. He would give advice that sounded good, but after some research I realized it was not advice at all, and would have ended up costing us more money. I would stay far away from this attorney. Immigration is a very fragile issue, and needs the care of an attorney who really cares and is not into it just for the money. Mr. Carrico also has a horrible "bedside manner". So relieved we made the decision to switch attorneys, dont make the same mistake we did!!! With our new attorney our case has been resolved with excellent results.

He is the worst lawyer! He did nothing for my case and just took my money. When I asked him what he was doing for me and my husband he straight up told me that he had not done anything for my case and that it was all my fault. He has be reprimanded by the State Bar Association several times, and I am also reporting him to the bar. Please don't use him, all he does is take you money. I wasted 6 months of my life waiting for him to help me bring my husband to the US. He gave me the wrong information and I have to start all over again.

John Carrico's service was excellent. I came here at the age of 5 from Mexico illegally with my parents. It took almost a year to get my resident card but all this was explained up front and I was allowed to make payments over many months so I could afford this. As far as I'm concerned, I got great service and would recommend his law experience to anyone with immigration matters Thanks Juan

Worst experience with an immigration lawyer. My wife is American and I was Canadian and our family application took so long that my temp visa expired. Had to resubmit application due to clerical error and when the first preliminary interviews were conducted, our case was denied due to a failure to submit expired documents by Carrico's office. He then refused to continue our case unless we repaid his legal fees, which we did since we felt that we were already so deeply involved with the application. After an additional year, we still had no idea where our application stood and decided to call US immigration ourselves. They had no information on our case and I was forced to leave the US and return to Canada paying this lawyer over $10,000 and received absolutely nothing. This lawyer is completely incompetent.

We went to this lawyer with all our documents of how long we have been in the country he made us beleave that there was a case. when we went to our second appt he didnt even know about the case or who we were. He had to look at all the documents on the second appointment just to know what case he was reffering to. He charged us 750 to show up in court to ask for more time, WHICH HE DIDNT NOT SHOW, and robbed us out of our money. When we complained he said he was charging us to keep the documents. By then he wasnt our lawyer when we went to pick up our records of how long we've been in this country he stated that he shredded them and hung up. To anyone that is thinking about contracting this lawyer PlEASE TAKE THIS AS A WARNING HE WILL CHEAT YOU OUT OF MONEY AND HE WILL NOT FIGHT FOR YOUR CASE!!!!

horrible charges alot and doesnt do anything at all he doesnt know anything cant answer questions he is rude and he is always booked!!!he sucks.. he wascharging me 6000 for the I 130 it was 500 a month he was supposed to go with me to the interview he didnt... he told me to wait for a response from thevisa center he was wrong i had to file out another application hedoent knw anything!!!!

I waited over a year to write this review. My immigrant husband and I sought out the services of an immigration attorney for his permanent residence application. We are both bright, helpful, decent people. And John Carrico treated us like morons, he spoke down to us, he clearly only half listened to the details of our case, and he dismissed every suggestion we made. Suggestions that later helped us greatly.
The only positive thing I can say about John Carrico is that his consult is free so people can see what a rude snide little man he is before wasting any money on him.
As of today I am happy to say with the help of our fantastic Attorney, my husband is now a permanent resident. I waited for the success of our case to post this review, so I could say conclusively John Carrico is a worthless old hack who failed to do anything worth a dime.

I was referred to this lawyer from a former client who received their green card then 3 years later, their US citizenship. I hired him in October of 2010 and by February of 2012 recieved my ten year green card. I was prepared by the attorney for my interview befoe the US government immigration office. I found his staff competent, fast working and friendly. I highly recommend him as an immigration lawyer.

The only time they will be friendly, helpful or accessible is when they are trying to get you to sign retainer and pay the fee. After that, its mission impossible to get ahold of anyone or get work done. Takes minimum of 4-5 calls to get one callback. I would never recommend.
