She is bias, works for the father, hasn’t seen nor spoken with my child more than 3x for 15 minutes since 2010 yet files objections to everything mother says. Won’t allow detectives to interview mother’s child and child is suffering because of this attorney’s gross misconduct. Doesn’t return phone calls from mother, only father. Is supposed to be paid through PACE but no PACE billing shows up on court summary. Father is probably paying her. She sat next to him during entire trial instead of where minor’s counsel is suppossed to sit — in the middle of both parties. She was biased against mother from the start, made claims proven false against the mother, and should be disbarred immediately. She is why lawyers get a bad rap. She’s NOT for the child. She’s for the money.

Sandra Etue is very unethical...She is a minors counsel but is biased and works more as a secondary attorney for the party that is funding her....She should be disbarred..If you look her up she has bad reputation all over town...According to the State Bar in 2016 she temporarily lost her licensed for misconduct and is currently being sued by a parent (case # 17-O-1386).

Sandra Etue is an amazing and very intelligent attorney. She is very knowledgeable in family dynamics. I went through a very scary custody issue for over 5 years. Sandra never abandoned my son or the family on this case. She was very attentive and answered every email, phone call and showed genuine interest. She helped change my life as a mom and she made ensured my sons safety and my daughters well being. The best advise I can give anyone dealing with Ms Etue is stop and lisen don’t be defensive, your families are in a battle for a reason and each party has their own issues. In the beginning Custody was not how I wanted it but in the end it was what was best. And because I stopped and listened and trusted the process I am able to be content with that. I am a better person and my son is emotionally healthy and a honor student and I can tell you that if I continued to be defensive with the process , I nor my son would be as happy as we are. This attorney asks for $$ first. If you do not pay her she favors the other party. She is often used as Minor's Council and proposes that she is working in the best interest of the child but when the parents agreed to a 50% custody schedule she fought it...brought it back to court ($$$ more billable hours) and had not read the legal file! No written report...never interviewed the family. This lady is scary. Would stay away from her at all costs.

Sandra Etue was assigned as minor's counsel for my children in a high conflict divorce. She was arrogant, did not follow through on crucial orders of the court to oversee father's court ordered psychiatric treatment (completely ignored the order) and as a result, children were forced into extremely traumatic visitation for years. Etue did not return phone calls, emails, did not show up for meetings, often delayed court hearings. Finally I had to file an emergency hearing for permanent supervised visitation when my children were pried out of father's car by no less than four police officers, investigated by juvenile detectives, multiple investigations by DCFS. Etue was off the case by then but she should have fought for permanent supervised visitation in the first place with all the evidence of violence and psychosis on the part of the father. Instead she was arrogant, rushed, defensive and rude and ignored the warning signs.

Totally NOT for the child. Bias counsel. Fuels high conflict custody battles. Our child is traumatized as a result of her handling our child. Does not investigate claims made by parents. Fails to follow through on her word. She has great ideas initially, but the orders she writes are not worth the paper it is written on. Very unethical practitioner. Does not submit reports on time, dont take my word, do a search. She had a law suit against her from another parent because of this. Dont believe her hype. She may be overworked to handle the case. She punks parents in doing what she wants them to do instead of trying to encourage the parents to co parent and work things out. She is dishonest as well.
