Click to report rating    8/8/19   5     5     3     1     1   I was a plaintiff in an unlawful-detainer case. I went with a lawyer (even though some law firms offer $1,500 for eviction without lawyers getting involved) and ended up paying around $800 for the unlawful detainer, and thousands more for him to represent me in court. We went to court and he settled a $3000 debt to me would be paid at $50/month. That's 60 months. He came to ask me if the settlement was ok with me. I wanted to test him so I asked, "What would you do?" and he said, "YES!" very enthusiastically. This seems that he wanted another notch on his court wins.... but as a client, I feel screwed. I shouldn't have accepted the settlement and took the defendant to court. Oh well... you live and you learn. RID: 213506
Click to report rating    11/1/14   1     1     1     1     1   Mr. Corsun represented the Plaintiffs in an Unlawful Detainer case. I was the defendant in Pro Per. It took Mr. Corsun 58 days to get a judgment, not including lock-out days. The U.D. was for a TERM LEASE EXPIRATION, which was filed 1 day after the lease expired. I had been renting the property for 5 years. The Plaintiff's are GREEDY, intrusive, seemingly mentally warped people. As for Mr. Corsun, he DOESN'T play by the court rules. According to California court rule 8.25, whenever a document is filed with the court, the party who filed the document is supposed to mail a copy to the other side. Mr. Corsun did not do this on 2 occasions. He tried to sneak in a Motion on the day of the trial, which I knew nothing about. Fortunately the judge denied it. In addition, he deliberately left out pages 2 and 3 of the complaint that was served upon me in hopes that I would not be able to respond. Needless to say, he did not expect me to be the savvy creature that I am. RID: 145531
