Pick up and left town without notifying client. He was not a public defender he was a paid attorney, very poor attorney. Would not recommend.

This guy is the poorest excuse for a ATTORNEY ever. He does nothing and definately does not have the clients best interest at heart. I cannot even begain to explain our experience with this man.He has caused us alot of heartache and money. Please please steer clear of him if you need someone to help you. What he tells you and what happens are two different things and in the end he just walks away like he is not even aware of what is going on. It is unbeleivable that this man gets to go to work everyday and call himself a attorney.

I had hired Mr Oursland as my defense lawyer in a 3rd degree domestic assault case. Mr. Oursland had asked me how i wanted to handle the case and specifically what i wanted said in the closing arguments. He didn't include any of the things i asked, and stumbled his way through a lackluster defense. He called me the wrong name twice. He brushed over only a few things and left entire parts of our argument out that i feel were crucial. He did not submit the police report as evidence which would have been proof that her story had many inconsistencies and did not make sense. He told me afterwards that asking how i wanted to handle the case was a courtesy, and he only brings up what he finds most important. He does not listen to the client.
