Dan is tenacious about getting clients' money, over billing, taking huge retainers, milking them for all he can then dumping him with motions to withdraw if he can't strong arm them, threaten them to get different representation. He did this to me. After getting $25,000, and trying to get a lot more, he decided that I didn't have enough money to continue and fabricated conflicts in order to get out of the case. He did an ex parte motion to withdraw in order to exit on the eve of an important hearing. He lied to the judge about our conflict saying it was ethical, when it was about his ability to get tons of money on a monthly basis. Since I've been trying to find legal remedies I've heard of two other cases similar to mine where he bails. He refuses to give me any of my money back (of course), and he never even got a retainer agreement to me until he wanted to bail (weird mistake he made), then used the fact I wouldn't sign it - to get bail, blackmail to see new agreemt at w/draw
