Mr. Dunsmuir has helped me on several occasions. He is thorough, well spoken, and very knowledgeable of the law. The best thing about him is that he has integrity and truly believes in justice not just "winning" the case. On that note, there has not been one case I had with him that I was not satisfied with the outcome. I highly recommend his services. This lawyer bombed my case, showed up to court missing some of my paperwork and didn't answers my phone calls or emails. he sent me the wrong client's paperwork. i was warned that he is known as a "budget lawyer" and now I know why. save your money and go elsewhere.

This guy got Power of Attorney over my grandmother and almost stole her whole estate before he ran away from BC. He rewrote her will without her knowledge and manipulated her into signing it by getting her to sign a power of attorney contract matching in size to the new will. Both these documents have the same date. His story to me was he got Power of Attorney then did an "extensive review" of her finances. He made up lies about my mother on her deathbed that he refused to put in writing so I could prove him wrong. My grandmother did not believe him and showed me her real will. When I noticed some problems with his bill he refused to submit a bill until she was dead. He did not return her calls or communicate with her. He really did a number on my family. Don't trust him with your family.

He takes the time to explain the processes and legal jargon associated with Family Law and Divorce, and he is always eager to share his extensive, expert knowledge. I thought his fees were extremely fair and I was really happy to see there were no surprise or hidden costs (I had heard horror stories about lawyers my friends had dealt with). I highly recommend Mr Dunsmuir to anyone looking for a lawyer who is fair, knowledgeable, and client focused!! I wouldn't go to anyone else.

He is a very good and knowledgeable lawyer. He helped me with my divorce and my corporate matters, and he charged me what he quoted me for. Never asked for an extra penny, nor did he charge me hourly. The only negative thing about him is that he attends many hearings a day, and therefore, a little difficult to reach. The best way to reach him is e-mailing him. Unlike 99% of the lawyers, he does not charge for answering your e-mails.

I am extremely satisfied with David's work; he is thorough and his knowledge of the law is second to none. I know that without David's help, my divorce would have gone much worse; I found myself saying repeatedly that I was so happy that I found him before my ex-wife did. His pricing is more than fair, especially considering he saw me during an evening and other times while he was in the office on the weekend......at no extra cost to me. He did this to be accommodating and I was appreciative that he did; he is very understanding of people's situation and schedules. I would without hesitation (and already have) recommend David Dunsmuir to anyone looking for a Family Law/ Divorce lawyer.

Contacting Mr. Dunsmuir was the best move I could have made. He was very knowledgeable and was in no way intimidated by opposing counsel. He helped me to attain the results that I wanted. Prior to retaining Mr. Dunsmuir, I was working with another attorney whom charged me an equal amount for very little result. I appreciate that Mr. Dunsmuir has a unique way of charging for his services, and also, I appreciate that he actually communicated with my wife and I. about a year ago i contacted David about a family law matter. he was extremely knowledgeable and had lots to offer, he told me when I was ready to pursue the case to get ahold of him. when i WAS ready, he apparently wasnt. i emailed him for weeks before i finally got him to call me. once he called and i sent him all my money (which i felt was very fairly priced) i made an appointment to go see him. he cancelled my appointment once. when i made it there he was extremely helpful and i felt encouraged. as of now it's been 1.5 months since my appointment and i have seen nothing from it. because my case was time sensitive i figured it would be a little more diligent, but it was not the case. im considering finding a new lawyer, although i would prefer not. all in all, he's extremely smart but perhaps a bit lazy.

David Dunsmuir is by far the BEST legal solicitor a client could have in NB. We meet in Vancouver and then he took our case in NB when he seen the run around we were getting. David Dunsmuir was able to bring to court Robert Martin and George Martin for estate funds that were given to them, Still being held. bank accounts still in bank. They were NOT able to account for what was found and were released by Mr.Bell and both were waved of the Probate court act of NB.Now Any other lawyer in NB who has had disciplinary action taken against them by Law Society of NB for these or lesser accounting offences now have a president case to quote for future reference. David's human and personal approach to each and every case,is a rare attribute in NB Courts,we will never forget and if I ever or my family will need legal advise or representation now or in the future we will retain David Dunsmuir Law office, In our view and case the best Legal Solicitor in NB

Really, really, knowledgeable! He was much better better prepared than my ex's lawyer and it showed at the hearing. He does talk a lot; that is his style. Fortunately, his method of billing means you don't pay extra for the info or explanations. I gather he is one of the busiest lawyers in my town owing to his fixed fee charges. He is in court a lot, so it is sometimes hard to get him on the phone during the day. Compared to some of my previous experiences with other lawyers and their bills based on their time, I got the services promised, and paid exactly what he quoted me from the outset. I couldn't afford to pay what other lawyers wanted, either to simply meet with me or take my case. David did what he said he would do, for what he quoted me. You can't do much better than that with a lawyer.

My opinion, this Office is extremely unprofessional. My phone calls never get answered. The receptionist is never there. I sent email after email with no response. I usually find out all pertinant info from my EX's lawyer way prior to him. Always mis places my paperwork. Often forgets things such as timings to met with other lawyers and Judge. I am extremely upset that i wasted months of my time and money and got zero action as of yet. I want a lawyer who is willing to fight for the fairness of their client. I am currently looking for a new lawyer after all this , now having to start from day 1. This type of unprofessionalism should be a crime. I do not recommend. Unless your searching for a good lawyer for your spouse who you are divoricing.

David is, in my estimation, one of the most intelligent people I've met in my life. I say that not only because of his level of knowledge, but his ability to apply it. He knows how and when to act, and the result, at least for me, was a more than satisfactory conclusion to an issue that has plagued me for a long time. As a result David is my long-term legal counsel. I can't at this time picture trusting anyone else with my personal matters. I have come to realize over time that even if it takes a bit of time, when David does something, it's done RIGHT. I find it hard express my gratitude for his diligence, or my faith in his ability. I honestly can't say enough good things about him.
