Mr. Polisuk has represented both my daughter and myself in a lengthy, complex, and heart wrenching case. His professionalism is evident by the respect extended to him in the courts by staff and judges alike. His billings are fair and reasonable, something you never hear from others about their lawyers. Mr. Polisuk gets right to the point with all issues and brings justice to his clients. I am baffled by the negative and vicious comments from a select few. Michael has been my lawyer for over 7 years. He took over my very difficult case and finessed it well. I have consistently achieved the results I needed and expected with Michael. The scathing reviews here make no sense to me as they cannot be a genuine reflection of a client's experience with Michael. I am a genuine client and I feel very lucky to have found him after my first 2 lawyer experiences. He got the job done and done well. Also, he is very careful with the costs and does NOT run them up as one reviewer said. I cannot help but wonder if these awful reviews are from actual clients. Michael is a solid, effective resource.

I was looking up Michael's phone number and was upset to see the negative comments about Michael. Michael represented me in a very difficult case a several years ago and it took him years to get it straightened out as I was in a very bad position when he took over my case. He is rare in the divorce game as he is conciliatory rather than inflammatory as most divorce lawyers are. He does not engage in hyperbole and the judges listen to him because they know that. If you want a lawyer that is going to be spiteful, negative and going to destroy your spouse, Michael is not the lawyer for you. Michael is the lawyer for you if you want to get through a divorce as quickly and as cost effective without all the animosity, he is your guy. Don't think he won't fight, he will, but only if its necessary. In my case, he had to take on some "heavyweight, overpaid supposed superstar lawyers" and did so very well. I have recommended him to several friends going through a divorce and they all thanked me

Over the past 10 years dealing with my file in Newmarket court Michael was a great help even after all was done I could reach and ask him for advise and his hand wasn't out for money all the time like others After having three lawyers Michael was the only one who fully understood the system.

Michael was my appointed lawyer from the office of the children’s lawyer during a child protection matter he Would routinely not respond to my emails and or Phone calls.
He did not often keep me apprised of my legal case and only truly advocated for me once during a meeting with the CAS when I called him again with the new legal Case he refused saying “it was a conflict of interest because he had conversations with The opposing lawyer in the New case during the child protection matter please stay away from this lawyer and be careful you choose when on legal aid. Please also stay away from William Fysh Of Newmarket as well most incompetent lawyer I know

This lawyer is the worst he will work with the opposing counsel against you if you are a woman client. He will ensure you do not get sole custody even if sole custody should be given to the mother. He will work to manipulate the outcome of the trial in favour of the oposing counsel. He will not coach you or prepare you for trial. He's unethical and useless.

Michael Polisuk has dragged my case for 2.5 years. He did not answer my phone calls, he vanished when there where important motions in court. I got Michael through legal aid, I fired him and decided to get help with another lawyer who finally got me the full custody which my girls deserved. Please be careful who you choose!

He is not a reliable lawyer. He got my money and went against me. Took my baby away from me and decreased the period of time I was spending with my baby per week. He tried to drag my case. He said next time we would put a motion in the court to see your baby more. Basically a void loop. First taking your baby away then charge you to get your baby back. He sent non-sense faxes to the other party's lawyer. Tried to show he is working on the case with nonsense mails. Sending you back and forth emails to charge you more. If you stick to him definitely you will loose your case and money both.

Michael is a very experienced family law lawyer. He knew what the probable settlement amount would be in my complex, non-typical case if it went to trial. A negotiated settlement was reach as requested by the Judge at the case conference stage. I will certainly recommend him.
