I initially hired Dan for a very simple cut-and-dry separation -- my ex and i parted on good terms and everything was amicable so it should have been an easy open and closed case. Instead, it was an absolute nightmare. I had to send multiple copies of the same documents more than once, and his excuses for losing my paperwork would have been hilarious, were it a laughing matter. More than once, he had to refer to google to answer a question any first-year law student should know. He has absolutely no regard for deadlines unless you nag him like a cranky wife and even then, no guarantees that he'll be on time with anything other than his bill for services rendered. Hell, this guy can't manage to even make it to the appointments scheduled several weeks in advance, but he'll be at your doorstep bright and early with his hand out waiting for payment for services that a child could have rendered. Extremely disappointed with the service i received, very poor experience.

Dealt with Mr. Orlikow over a will he prepared. It was riddled with errors. He also transferred the wrong piece of property but Land Titles corrected that. His records of the will conveniently disappeared. In court his testimony was "unreliable" according to the judge. Law Society agreed that he lied in court. He lacks an iota of integrity and is a disgrace to the " profession."

We used Mr. Orlikow for both our house sale and for our condo purchase. Everything went off like clockwork. No complaints whatsoever. He has a bit of a quirky sense of humour but seems like a straight shooter.

Orlikow is disorganised, looses paperwork, doesn't notice mistakes on your paperwork. He couldn't remember why I had an appointement and then couldn't find my paperwork. His computer was open on a dating site when I entered his office. The positive: my separation agreement cost me almost nothing since he let my ex's lawyer do all the work. Thankfully, I was on good trems with my ex.

best experience I've had with a lawyer he was kind, compassionate, and definitely worked for his money. Mr. Orlikow always meet my deadlines. I have no complaints

Unprofessional, rude, expensive, does not file paperwork in a timely fashion. Lacks knowledge about his expertise, cannot answer questions properly, uses google to answer questions/find forms then charges you for it. He seems like a burnout pot head who doesn't give a crap about his clients. Makes all his associates do his work for him. Another lawyer at the establishment had to help us finish off our paperwork because they couldn't find him on the day we were SUPPOSED to take possession of our house. Find another lawyer, this guy is an expensive joke.

Would never recommend or use Dan Orlikow again. Selling & purchasing a home should be happy & exciting, but he made it as stressful as possible! I had to watch all deadlines & requirements & remind him or they would not have been met. Always took many attempts to reach him or get answers from his office (e-mails never end returned, many voicemails left over several days). It is now a month after the new owners took possession of our old house & we have not seen any funds & nobody is returning my calls or emails. The restraint on our old mortgage has expired & lawyer did not reapply, so now I am stuck paying old mortgage, new mortgage & interim loan. So frustrated!

I GAVE DAN A $1500.00 RETAINER,AND HE USED IT ALL UP ON 2 PHONE CALLS,ONE WHILE I WAS IN THE OFFICE AND ALL HE DID WAS LEAVE A MESSAGE ON MY EX-WIFES LAWYERS MACHINE AND THE SECOND WAS A 40 MIN CALL,I DONT KNOW WHAT CALLING PLAN HE HAS BUT IT SEEMS REAL EXPENSIVE, I RECEIVED NO DOCUMENTS FROM HIM AT ALL EXCEPT A LETTER STATING HE WILL REQUIRES MORE MONEY TO CONTINUE RETAINING HIM.SO I CUT MY LOSSES AND SWITCHED LAWYERS.IM NOT RICH I HAVE TO WORK FOR MY MONEY.

Awful experience with this lawyer getting a seperation agreement, document was sloppy and late and needed to be corrected several times, the only thing he was on time with was billing.

Doesn't file paperwork on time,treaty's you with disdain, doesn't call you back.if you have a case with him leave NOW and find another lawyer

He is rude, unprofessional, always late for appointment and looses information you've already given him. I've had to send, re-send, re-send and re-send the same email over and over because he didn't have any records of it. If you like people to have compassion you definitely don't want to use his services. He doesn't care about you. He's like an abusive spouse... If you are using his services leave him now or he will suck your soul and money dry.
