He was my public pretender. I could not get in contact with him for four months while I awaited trial. He tried to get me to take bad deals and was terrible in court. I was convicted on circumstantial evidence...... He is a terrible public defender and is the reason why el Cajon court has one of the highest conviction rates. The public defennders are lazy...... They have too many cases and can not decide which ones to fight and just go along with the D.A. its a numbers game and if the jails need inmates for their funding the public defennders office hands you over on a silver platter. They don't care if your guilty or not or if there is overwhelming evidence saying you're innocent. They are in bed with the D.A. the judge and the jail/prison system. If you get Thomas carnissale as a public pretender I suggest you get a new one or obtain private counsel.
