During my divorce Mr Nussbaum would like me to visit often. I thought this was normal, but come to find out all he wanted to do was bill me. He also counseled me hardly. I found things out on what to expect from others. Stay away from him. Do not use him you will regret it like I did.

I hired Steve Nussbaum to handle a speeding ticket for me in Upstate NY. From the start he didn't promise anything in terms of reductions like the other guys, but I assumed this was quiet confidence and his being lawyerly. I found out it was because he couldn't deliver. I was over 20 mph over the speed limit but other lawyers seemed to think I could get it reduced to a non-moving violation, $50 fine, and no points on my license. With Steve, he pleaded guilty to a reduced sentence that left me with 2 points and a $235 fine, not to mention his own $425 fine. Why do we pay for lawyers if not to get this routine service done? The officer who stopped me even said the court was lenient so I can't understand what happened. Most irritating was that Steve was truly uncommunicative. I never heard from him between when I sent him my affidavit and when I received a letter (with typos) announcing the unsatisfactory verdict, not mentioning anything about the 2 points! Never picks up his phone.
