Aric was wonderful to work with! He was reliable and consistently in touch. I hired Aric to help monitor all of the paperwork for purchasing my house (the sellers were not going through a Real Estate agent) so Aric reviewed all of that paperwork and would then present it to me. I was often traveling and Aric would call me up and fill me on things I had missed. I really appreciated his dedication on looking everything over triple times because he found a few mistakes that could have had consequences for me down the road.
Also regarding price, I checked out a few lawyers in the Berkley, RO and Birmingham area and Aric quoted me an exact price which is exactly what he ended up charging me. (This was super important to me because I di dnot want a bill ending up full of extra charges and fees.)
I would definitely work with Melder & Melder again if I ever were to require their services in the future!

I worked with Aric Melder (in lieu of a Realtor) throughout the process of offering to purchase a home through the closing. He knows his stuff and had my best interests in mind throughout the entire process. His schedule was flexible enough to meet my demanding work schedule when we needed to meet in person. That says a lot as I'm sure his schedule is pretty hectic. I would gladly recommend Aric and his firm for your real estate needs. In fact I am still working with him for other services (will, PoA, and Patient Advocate).

After receiving bad advice from another lawyer, I contacted Aric. I was feeling defeated and at a loss. He went over my case and pointed out things I had never thought about. Not only did he win my case, he won it before seeing the judge. Worth every penny!

My fiancée’s neighbor was able to expand his home beyond normal Clawson building code. He also had an inconvenient fire moved from in front of his house to a couple doors down. He wants my fiancée’s property. Yet, in suggesting that he could be working with the Clawson city attorney to have her house condemned, Melder dismisses my fiancée as a government conspiracy theorist, and wouldn’t take the case. It seems M&M are either ignorant enough to think everything happens by accident, or part of the good old boys club. In the 7/2011 E Oakland yellow pages, they have 6 color pictures of themselves, and 1 b&w. It seems to indicate egotism and lots of advertising money. Under criminal law and divorce, they say they’re “Aggressive”; under real estate, “Specialists”; under estate planning, “Compassionate”. You don’t develop their (obviously strong) financial assets by being compassionate in business. In my book, they’re simply over-rated.

Aric Melder is kind, professional and just the person I'd want on my side in a law dispute. He called himself to set up our meetings (to write and sign a will) and was able to accommodate our busy schedule. I highly recommend him and plan on keeping his name on file for whenever I should need a lawyer.

Going to a lawyer is not always a great time in your life. Aric help us out and we left the office with a smile on our face. Aric always answered our calls and listened to what we had to say. Hoping I will not need a lawyer again but if I do I am going back to Aric.

I came to Aric way too late in the game. I was going through a short sale and working with a bank that seemed to be playing, “hardball.” I was also looking at an ominous deficiency judgment. Aric completely exceeded my expectations. He has a passion for law and really looks out for his clients. Even my real estate agent at closing said that she was impressed by his knowledge and ability to produce results. Aric kept me in the loop at all times even if it was to say, “I have left several messages with the bank, I will let you know when I hear something.” He also is very pragmatic and upfront letting us know the reality of the situation. I can unequivocally recommend Aric to get the most out of your hard earned dollars.

Melder & Melder has assisted myself and family with several items from divorce, real-estate and bankruptcy over the last few years. Aric Melder is not only well versed with many different legal matters but an excellent litigator for all of them. He is responsible, ethical and you can count on him and the firm to get the job done. The firm cares about their clients and go out of their way to take care of them. Their fees are very competitive. It is hard to find the right attorney, for a price you can afford. I just wanted to thank Aric and Sanford Melder. They took the time to listen then not only gave me great advise but helped me to the end. This was my first legal matter with the Melders. It will not be the last. When I need help I know where to go.
