I had a consultation with Katherine in regards to a change of custody issue. It was a total waste of money and i will not be hiring her. It felt like she wanted to argue with me all of the time, instead of listen. She also kept telling me what a "crapshoot" the system is in regards to custody issues and when asked for direction/ advice, put the question back on me. I did not feel like she would have my back at all.

I was fortunate enough to retain Katherine to resolve my outstanding divorce issues. Always a good listener, Katherine was able to keep an eye on the big picture while minding the details. She moved very quickly to wrap up loose ends so I can move in with my life. I would recommend Katherine to anyone going through this challenging process.

I'm not sure how one person can receive such a drastic evaluation - either 100% positive or 100% negative. Katherine does NOT deserve any negative feedback - she is kind, compassionate and truly wonderful to work with. She's knowledgeable and proficient; I left everything about my divorce and child care agreement in her care and came out with all matters settled and handled with professionalism and certainty. The negative reviews are unfair and untrue.

All the bad reviews about Katherine are correct. We have had a horrible experience with her and her lack of knowledge of the law. Not only does she never answer her phone or call back any messages that are left to her but she is unethical and does not follow the law. Someone needs to take her license away !

Wow.I have read these negative reviews for Katherine Kowalchuk and I'm of the opinion they're fake and manufactured and posted only to discredit her anonymously. Katherine recently handled all aspects of my divorce and she navigated everything with a high degree of professionalism, integrity and with detailed communication. I was grateful for the experience she brought to the table and pleased with all aspects of our business. In March 2017 I sought her services again to review and advise me on a business acquisition that included a lease take over, incorporation and the buy-sell agreement. Katherine was very accommodating and agreed to see me and my business partner after hours as time was of the essence. Katherine's extensive commercial real estate law experience and attention to detail proved invaluable. My name is Cyndy Morin, and I'm the owner of Resolve Legal Group. From time to time our firm has hired Katherine to do agency work on our behalf. What this means is, when we have a conflict in our Court schedule and have needed someone to appear on our behalf, we have hired Katherine. As a lawyer and business owner, I know that reputation is everything; so when I stumbled upon these negative reviews about a lawyer that I trust very much, who I have never once had a complaint about at our firm, I felt compelled to leave this review. One of the unique features we have at Resolve Legal Group is the role of our Client Support Coordinator, who performs regular quality control and client satisfaction checks with all of our clients on all of our lawyers and agents on a regular basis (see client support on our website resolvelegalgroup.com). This person is a terrible lawyer. She is dishonest, unprofessional, unethical and just down right mean. She is on your side on the initial consultation but then after that the only conversations she'll entertain are to ask you for money. She will ruin your case with her lack of knowledge, poor ethics and desire to get in good with opposing counsel. She looks to take advantage of people that are vulnerable. She will never own up to her mistakes and she will freak out if you call her out on them. She is a bad lawyer and a bad person. Stay away from her and those who have had any interaction with her, clients or staff, should report her to the Law Society.

I had 2 meetings with Katherine and hired her to oversee my Divorce. She talked a great game and I felt confident that she understood the issues. Before I even knew what was happening and with no explanation, she passed me off to another lawyer in her firm. I never saw Katherine again, and her colleague that was my new lawyer left the firm a short time later over some "dispute" with Katherine. I paid her firm over $22,425 and did not settle or advance my case at all. Beware - once they see your financial disclosure and know you have assets they are out to get as much of your money as they can. I just don't understand how these lawyers can sleep at night! Women should empower other women, not take advantage of them.

Very poor attitude towards her clients. She never returns phone calls, emails, or even follows up with her clients unless she wants money. I suggest finding a different lawyer one who cares and actually is knowledgeable. If you do decide to hire her make sure you watch your invoices she is very shady.

Terrible!!!! Stay far far away. Katherine is unprofessional and unreliable. Our realtors fired her as their lawyer after we bought our house because she couldn't carry out even the simplest tasks to complete the sale of our new home. Our realtors felt so bad about the terrible service from katherine that they sent us numerous gift cards to try to make up for it. She pulled out all the excuses imaginable about how she managed to screw us over on the day we were to take possession of out new home. We were left for hours with our belongings on the front lawn of our home because she couldn't figure out how to transfer funds properly! She is very self absorbed and doesn't care about taking care of her clients. I can't find a good review about her online not sure how she stays in business. Do your research all she cares about is sucking as much money from her clients as possible. I need a shower after looking at her. Do yourself a favor and find someone who actually cares!

Horrible. Tells you anything you want to hear to make you think shes a great lawyer. Than disappoints when it comes to making any of those things happen. Always cancels or moves appointments and then tries to charge for the correspondence. Total fraud. Ended up hiring her after paying 4 grand for her to do absolutely nothing. Don't waste your money she doesn't care about you or your divorce just a pay check.

She shouldn't be a lawyer, completely in the wrong field. First meeting she draw a nice picture for our caise and right away she start on "chin, chin, chin" $$$$$$$ she focused more about how much and how she would like to get paid. Our focused was; as long she can get things done no problem. Apparently she got a lot of money and she start bringing negative issue in my caise that she didn't talk about it before. I had to fire her and take my caise to a real lawyer not a dresses and decore person. Do your homework before you spend any money with her

Not puctual, not knowledgable. Didn't get any proper advice from this attorney. Had a feeling I got into a trap and had to defend myself from my attorney. No answers to any of my questions. The simple case took much longer than it had been promised to manage with. When I called her she even couldn't remember my name and the details of my case. But asked for more money for zero work. I would never ever advice you to ask this lawyer for help.

The firm seems not to have any idea as to how process serves who handle their documents operate at all and with 37 years experience in serving documents in one city, they have been the worst client I ever had dealings with. Did the exact job they requested in the time frame they specified and at the price we had quoted, then got told I hadn't told the truth and didn't know how to do my job. I would never do work for them, (her) again.
