After seven years of litigation, I am out of money and still stuck being bashed in court by my ex. Laurelle knows the law but is inconsistent in practising it. Her representation is based entirely on her moods and they swing wildly from one end of the spectrum to the other. She makes promises and commitments that are whim to her extensive and exotic vacation schedule. The last few years, her solo practice (not with Levene Tadman Golub Law Corp since 2018) is more about mediation and her consulting company than guiding anyone through the terror of family law process. If you have endless money and little interest in results for your life, family, and finances, this is your lawyer.

After working with another lawyer for over a year, I knew I needed someone who could move things forward. Laurelle came recommended by a few very trusted people and it turned out they were entirely correct. Within two months of hiring Laurelle, my support and custody order were signed and registered with MEP. In the time she has represented me, my case has moved forward in spite of extreme opposition. Laurelle has been an excellent advisor, advocate and, sometimes, reality-checker. She is forthright and pragmatic in an area of law that is riddled with feelings. I wouldn’t wish this process on anyone, however, having the right person guide you through it can make a world of difference.

I hired Laurelle because although my husband and I had accumulated significant assets, he controlled everything and gave me nothing. Laurelle immediately understood our corporate structure and was able to get a judge to order my ex to give me a lump sum and support before the case was over. A good listener, kind and patient. Couldn't have made it through without her.

Harris will take your case on only if she believes she will make a lot of quick money and will milk you dry. She takes advantage of people who are at their lowest. Charges time and thousands of dollars while accomplishing nothing, and knows just how to do it. PLEASE, DON'T RETAIN THIS LAWYER, YOU WILL REGRET IT.

In my experience, Ms. Harris was a less than average communicator and ineffective lawyer. She does not listen but talks endlessly. She will put you in your place if you dare to interrupt with a question or give her direction. She yelled at me and told me I didn't " trust her" because I asked questions. Her client communication is aggressive and dismissive. She lacks attention to detail and lost some of my files. She berated me for contacting her 25 year old assistant to ask questions about filings and motions but Ms. Harris does charge for her assistant's time. This lawyer behaved unprofessionally and misled me. Be warned.

One word, THIEF. I retained Harris ($5000)when I was at my emotional lowest. Harris smells money when that happens. She spoke about how "good" she was and said she would do better than anyone else (who SAYS that?). She went on a 5 week vacation (MIA) I had no idea she was gone. She left her work to her green articling student, and an important hearing date was missed. When she returned she began to literally yell at me about how frustrated and overwhelmed she was, at THAT point she was fired. She cost me 5 months away from my son, AND charged me $6000 to do so. I hired a new lawyer who was boggled by HARRIS' negligence. I have been contacting the Law Society about getting money back but Harris needed to be agreeable, which she was not....because she is Harris. If she wasn't married/linked up with one of the partners she would likely have been fired by now. My suggestion? donate the thousands of legal dollars to charity instead of paying for another Harris vacation.

Knowledgeable and efficient. Was able to correctly predict what my husband's strategy would be and her plan to meet it allowed me to prove he was not telling the truth. Smart, tough and well-prepared. Not cheap but worth every penny.

I put some numbers higher than she deserve so that the comments are not hidden. She is TRUE ROBBER. It is better to deal with case on your own than hiring her. She does not DO ANYTHING EXCEPT MAKING MONEY in your case. She would say " I will do this for you. Do not worry". In the end : NOTHING WILL BE DONE. Everything in AIR. Her financial statements/bills will be 2000-2500 per month without any proceeding in the case or you knowing what is going on. Even if there was no communication between you and her, she will bill you for nothing. If you ask for adjustment, she would never do that. BAD THING IS : You do not have any proof to go to the LAW ASSOCIATION to complaint against her. If you want to waste your money and MESS UP your case, GO FOR HER.
