Tyler came to court unprepared and unorganized. To get a witness served to appear in court in my custody case, the judge even gave us a 3 day continuance when the witness "didn't show". TM indicated he had everything under control and even asked for an additional retainer deposit. As we walked over to the courthouse together from his office, he assured me everything was under control. Tyler did not contact the witness or obtain a statement or call the judge to let him know there were problems. The judge was furious and suggested from the bench I get a new attorney. Tyler refused to refund any of the $5,000 paid to him, "I refuse to negotiate about fees." It took $35k and 9 months with my kids in the alcoholic mom's home before I was able to get his failure turned around. In spite of his 'representation', I was able to get full custody of the kids. My new attorney (an ex-partner) would shake his head and say, "how could this have happened?" The worst of the worst. Run don't walk away.

This man is a saint. He has been going through cancer treatments and still is devoted to his clients and his mission. God bless him and his walk with the Lord.

Tyler tells the opposing side way too much info.He does not seem to know if he is coming or going.He did not remember where are videos,dvds etc.were last kept.He talked BIG but delivered small.He kept dragging out the case and let the opposing lawyer run the show.He dropped out at the last minute,leaving us without legal help,he said due to medical reasons...but continued his other cases...We do not trust him and even if he paid us to hire him we would never again waste our time with this guy.I hope no one else gets fooled into thinking Tyler Makepeace will help them.Everyone wants peace but that is the last thing you will get with him because he does not do what he says he will do.Learn from the reviews!I wish we would have paid more attention to them!Good Luck to all of you that need help!

He is absoutely the worst Family Law Attorney. He is unresponsive, and his focus does not seem to be on your best interest. Tyler Makepeace is always worried about his $, but when I need a phone call returned or him to have paperworkfiled I can't get a response. But when he wants money he will be in contact with you. I would NOT recommend him to do anything!! He should be disbarred.

Horrible family law attorney! Claims to be a devout Christian. Took my money, made promises never kept, And I ended up x10 worse after paying him $3000 of a $5000 retainer,than had to terminate represntation, and need to pay another attorney at least $5000/retainer to start over again (only much more broke & a huge disadvantage due to his incompetence!
