I went to Mr. Jackowiec to help me with filing paperwork regarding guardianship of my disabled daughter. What started out as I thought would be a simple case turned out to be more complex because another member of the family was fighting me. In the beginning the system was not on my side and ignored the truth. Walter told me to be patient and he fought for me as if it were his own daughter. Finally at the end, she is back with me and I am her guardian and all is well. I trusted him with the most important person in my life and he came through for not only myself but for my daughter. His staff that works for him are all very professional and kind.

How do you pick a lawyer - most people dont know one, until they need one. I recently hired Walter for a bad divorce case. Through the entire 2 year knock-down, drag out - Walt had my back and had my best interests in mind. He was honest, upfront, and direct - ALWAYS. He does not waste time. His staff is compassionate and sharp. Divorce can be one of a person's most difficult times in life, but this law office helped me understand each step being taken and why, presented me with options but let me make my own decisions - generally, guided me through a really rough patch. Which is exactly what a lawyer should do. I didnt know the legal system or my options,but I am grateful that I chose Walter to represent me because he provided answers and clarity when many other things were unsettled. He is relentless on his client's behalf. I interviewed other lawyers before hiring Walter, and I dont regret my selection for one second. I highly recommend meeting him and deciding for yourself.

Mr. Jackowiec helped me with questions I had about a possible divorce. He was very informative and answered all my questions in a way that I could understand. He helped me to make an informative choice. He was also very patient with me about the questions I asked and took his time explaining the answers to me when I got a little confused. He is a very nice lawyer and I would recommend him to any one that needed a lawyer.

Absolutely horrible lawyer. Overcharges for nothing, absolutely not responsive to calls, emails. Doesn't even know the case while going to court. Doesn't put his heart at all in the cases, seems that intentionally tells me not to come to court, so they would reschedule again and he can charge another court fee. It's beyond ridiculous. Do yourself a favor and avoid this guy.

charges are so over inflated its scary. charges three times as much compared to any other lawyer. $750.00/hr?? Even judge commented on his charges.

Non responsive to phone call messages, e-mails, emergency issues. Bills excessively for every little thing and requires payment prior to appearing in court or depositions to force you to pay and maintain a retainer to work from. Makes bad recommendations and takes no personal interest in the outcome. Does not hesitate to give away the farm because its not his. When he feels the case is about to get difficult and he has taken all your money he withdraws from the case leaving you hanging literally.
