I cannot imagine how she attracts clients. For this many negative comments, she must be terrible. Perhaps the disciplinary board should supervise her work at her expense.

Awful.......needed assistance with her colleague, Richard Applebaum. Apparently they do not have a good professional relationship as she berated me before telling me he was on leave. Her paralegal/assistant was just as rude, unprofessional and vulgar.

I think its hilarious how all these disgruntled dead beats dont pay their bills and want to blame the attorney for doing her job in recovering the money. You have no one to blame but yourselves! As for the secretary, she is very professional. Im sure dealing with idiots like you stress her out!

I have used her for almost 20 years for collections. SHE GETS RESULTS.....PERIOD. Use a lawyer that ONLY does collections, not one that gets around to it when the rest of their business is slow. I cannot say enough about her, except that you DO NOT want to be on the receiving end of her efforts...she is a 5 foot tall PIT BULL. you can't go wrong with her

We hired her as a collection attorney. Zero comunication and every time my staff talked to her she used to scream at them. She lacks basic education, I have no idea how this person is still in business. No class. Nobody wants to talk to her due to the lack of manners. Probably she is bringing her personal frustration to her business. Sad! what an animal!!!

I wonder how this attorney is even still in business. I came here to post a review so others would know how unprofessional this attorney and her staff are. I laughed when I read the other posts having the same exact experience as I just had. I was screamed at on the phone hung up on and also called a little witch. I will be reporting this attorney and hoping that this review deters anyone from using this unprofessional attorney.

I have been screamed at, and told I'm late and god forbid if u walk in the office to hand deliver a payment forget about the "unprofessional woman" who sits at the front desk. they have this Fake macho man chasing you down to tag an extra 57 dollars to the end of the repayment because he has a wack job to fulfill. I pay Strauss Factors, Laing and lyons and I NEVERRRRRRRRRRRRRR deal with this **** I call them and make payments in person to the sweetest girl. I work in customer service face to face and would never treat anyone how this lame office does HOW CAN ANYONE ELSE WITHIN THAT OFFICE WORK IN THAT ENVIRONMENT!! is all I can say!

I have had one of the most stressful experiences of my life while dealing with this woman over a medical bill. I signed an agreement that was never broken and now at the end of that agreement she wants more money and is now taking me to court to garnish my wages. I have like most been yelled at by this woman and treated like a complete piece of dirt and now to know after all of this it is still not over and she is going to continue to come after my wages and possibly my home. Where does this cycle end and where is our justice. I work hard to provide for my family, contribute to our socieity and pay all of my taxes but she is allowed by law to treat people this way. I am still in shock and am planning on going to to court next month to fight her every step of the way. People like Maryann Patalano have to be stopped.

This lady is horrible an very unprofessional. I made payment arrangements back in august an made every payment on time, then u got a summons for court an called her office to see what was up since they already cashed my check, an her receptionist told me to disreguard I was alset it was a mistake. Then I recently called for my balance an found out she sued me an my 569balance went to over 1100. When I called she yelled an screamed at me that I need to deal with being better an not havin to pay a lawyer, then told me I couldn't explain what her receptionist told me, cus she has had her for 5yrs an never tell me any of what I was saying. Then when u said m'am please let me explain she told me to hurry up an I asked her not to b rude there was no need an she hung up on me. She needs to be disbarred for being an evil witch! Being nice of course

This is by far the worst experience I have ever had with an attorney. I have been trying to work with them, but have been treated with very little respect. Admittedly I made some mistakes, but I am a single mother and a disabled veteran with a severely Autistic child. Ms Patalano hung up on me when I tried to work with her without involving another attorney. I was shocked. She actually shouted at me & hung up after I called to try to resolve a misunderstanding. Very unprofessional.

Absolutely right about her hiding funds. She started a lawsuit at $387 and added costs which she would not break down for me. Then she sued me after making payment arrangements. Horrible person!

MaryAnn Patalano stole my money from a collection suit for RI higher education. She never reported one payment to them and they have made me pay this bill all over again from 15 years ago. I called the disciplinary board and she lied to them about everything. She denied my calling her and I had to show phone records to prove I had. She then recanted that part of her lie and created another one. She has no integrity or ethics. Beware if you have to make payments to her. Keep every reciept! Because I was not able to get the proof I needed, due to the banks not keeping records that long, the government took my income tax and garnished my wages. This is an injustice that couldn't be won and all Maryann Patalano had to do was give me my settlement of account letter stating I paid this loan in full but she refused to do so because giving me that letter would mean giving RI higher ed the money and she stole that.
