Defrauded and overcharged me.
I have expert testimony that John Gilligan committed fraud and overcharged me - by more than $1.2 million. During his 2018 deposition, Gilligan admitted that Brandmeyer, Gilligan & Dockstader (BGD) first became a legal partnership between Gilligan and Dockstader in 2016. This didn't stop him from filing fraudulent contract lawsuits against his former "clients." For more info, see my Facebook group: Divorce Support Network. I was very much pleased with Mr. Gilligan. He was very responsive and on top of my case. He was incredibly smart about his ways and I got everything I asked for in court. I would highly recommend him as an attorney. No disappointments.

I was referred by another attorney. John was very nice and cordial during the interview. After the interview and the signing of the retainer, John's representation was a nightmare. His billing practices are questionable and overstated. He refused to return calls. He was late on deadlines which cost me heavily. John is the type of attorney that gives attorneys bad names. My recommendation is to run and run fast. John should not be a consideration if you wish to be treated fairly by the court and by your attorney.

I searched long for an attorney and found Mr. Gilligan's posted profile qualifications to be just what I needed.
My initial consultation with Mr. Gilligan gave me hope and confidence that justice would easily prevail and the outcome for me would be positive. However, what was exhibited at the consultation was not the same after I hired him.
What was worse than the disappointing outcome, was his condescending treatment towards me and callousness of my situation.
I feel it necessary to post my experience as a warning to others who are looking for legal representation.
