I hired this Lawyer to help me with my divorce in March of 2013 sent her the retainer she requested on June 3,2013 and as of August 19 2013 she still has not even filed papers with the court to serve my husband. I am so distraught over this. I had one 10 minute phone conversation with her in June and a two hour consultation with her in 2012.She told me she was not going to charge me for that. She did very little talking in the consultation that took place in her husband's construction office( I should have known). I have had to text her weekly to see if she had accomplished anything and she repeatedly told me after waiting days to respond to each text, that there was always a problem as to why she hadn't served him yet. It was a complete Ponzi scheme. As soon as she got the retainer she basically ignored my case. I finally fired her and she has told me she isn't returning my retainer and in fact she is going to bill me. After three months she still did not serve my husband.
