So fortunate to have found Ms. Gherman. Ingrid settled my case in a timely fashion and to my benefit. This lawyer won custody of my children after I had lost all hope. She explained everything she did in my case in plain words and made sure I understood my case. When we went for trial, she was prepared and confident that we would win my children. When she cross-examined my ex-husband, the judge saw how much he had lied about me and how manipulative he was and he tried to turn my kids against me. This lawyer really cares about helping people, and worked very hard on my case. I very much recommend her

The only value I received was learning what not to look for in a divorce attorney. My experience was very similar to prior comments: No followup, no return calls, incompetent staff. However, she won't forget to bill you on a timely basis. I found her work product to be sloppy and I was incredibly disappointed with her service. She comes across as a nice lady and she may very well know the law. However, and unfortunately, she is incompetent at running a law practice. If you believe you are entitled to service and communication for $400+/hour, I suggest you look elsewhere.

I attended a volunteer legal clinic and met Ingrid. I left my motion for her review. I had thought about retaining her. After 9 days and many emails, Ingrid never responded once (a colleague did). I called her office to arrange my motion's return. One day no one picked up the phone all day, straight to VM. The next day a secretary promised me she would place my papers in an envelope for pick up. The messenger dropped the papers at our house - no cover, no envelope. Our 5 social security numbers exposed for anyone to take. This is against legal protocol and all common sense. No response to my email complaining about the exposure of sensitive private information. My girlfriend had arranged a meeting. She drove in 30 minutes to the city. About 5 minutes away Ingrid called to cancel due to "an emergency." Incompetence and ersatz behavior before turning over money should warn you away from this woman, no matter how nice she is. At least I only lost time, not money. Do not hire Ingrid!!!

She seemed very nice, helpful and understanding during my initial consultation. Once I retained I spent a great deal of time trying to keep her organized as she was very slow with email. Her secretaries have a hard time keeping in touch with her. I lost weeks trying to schedule time with her. She would miss calls or call late. I ultimately had to find another lawyer. It's been 8 months since i requested a formal stop and release of outstanding funds that she owes me. I have 6 emails tracking my request for money back. I now have been calling daily to seek resolution and speak with her secretaries that are put in the same terrible situation I am in, no information, no commitments met. I never bother with ratings regardless of level of service. First time i feel the need to give someone a poor rating and look to see if there is any recourse for what i am still going through?

The worst! Does not know the case. Takes your money, bills for more things and never responds or finishes the job.

Avoid her at all costs. She is not interested to even hear her client but only billing. You lose any case having her and she will get all your money. If you have her, fire her immediately, it is lose-lose situation, time consuming, stress and money wasted.
