I had a DUI for the first time in my life. Scared to death I reached out to Michael He was a referral from a friend. He gave me a great talk as to what he wanted to do with my case and what he would look for. He wound up negotiating the case down to a speeding ticket with the DUI dismissed. I have no idea how he did that as I was over .08%. Anyway, it's not about the result...which was great...it was about how nice and patient he was and that he returned my calls and emails promptly. Thank you Michael!

First, I'd like to start off by saying that I got my a DUI two years ago and it was my first one. Even though many people told me that I don't need a lawyer representation for a first DUI, I choose the opposite and started shopping for an attorney cause I wanted to do everything in my will to avoid it. I am going to construct my review in bullet points of pros and cons.
BUT, I'd like to make some disclaimers first: I am a real person who hired and fully paid Michael Congata for his services; and the reason I say that is because when I was shopping for attorneys, the first thing I looked at was reviews and wow does this guy have a lot of positive (or rather fake) reviews (based on my experience with "him" or rather his assistant, since he never showed up himself). Secondly, I am not someone who enjoys bad reviews but I know that paying 2-3K for a lawyer is a lot and I'd rather have used this money on myself, my family, or charity; I simply don't want you to be mislead like I was. my experience with Michael was not bad until near the end. at first he seemed on it, working hard, trying to make a defense, but towards the end of my trial everything went to the complete opposite. He would forget court dates and I had to call him to remind him. I don't know if something happened in his life to distract him, but his behavior was completely unacceptable. I originally thought his work would get my charge dismissed, but his help didn't so much at all other than cost me a few grand. I'm never using this lawyer again I can tell you that much.
