LES BUNNING was obtained to act as sole lawyer on a estate. I unfortunately experienced the following as co-executor and beneficiary of the estate.Never once were my telephone calls returned.He seldom if ever responded to email inquiries. Copies of legal paper work and court orders took months to receive;if ever.He provided legal opinions that were contrary to what I received ;when I obtained a second legal opinion on estates. From experience I recommended avoiding Les Bunnings legal services! D McDONALD.

Les Bunnings competently handled my affairs which have included law suites, house transactions and other personal situations. Never, have I found him to treat my circumstances without the utmost professionalism. Emails, yes, Call backs, even at night, yes, successful outcomes, 100% and at reasonable rates to boot.

Les Bunning recently completed a house purchase for us. We had purchased houses before using other lawyers. A house purchase may be a routine matter for a law firm but we were impressed by how efficiently the matter was handled.Their one price system,which includes HST was easy to understand and less expensive than other lawyers. We had checked the price with other lawyers in the Orleans area and one lawyer seemed cheaper but we discovered that there were extra charges for for searches ,registration fees and HST which made their price more expensive.

We were recomended by friends to use Les Bunning as our real estate lawyer. Our purchase was handled efficiently and Les Bunning was very Knowledgeable and handled a couple of issues that arose well. Les Bunnings assistant was helpful and friendly. The cost was lower than many other lawyers and we liked there fixed price system as most of the other lawyers would only ball park the total cost

In my opinion, he does not respect confict of issues. He was "our" lawyer, but was willing to represent my former wife when we were going through a divorce.

For a relatively simple property title transfer this turned into a frustrating event. He was very condescending and stubborn toward me and my bank. It was difficult to reach him or communicate with him as he "doesn't do e-mails" even though these e-mails are screened by his staff (no direct e-mail address). When he did leave phone messages there were NO details other than “call me back”. My bank was surprised by his attitude and when they described a different approval process to him, he refused and told them it was “too bad” if his way didn’t work for them. They had never experienced this type of problem with the thousands of mortgages that they process. I’m not sure how cost effective he was as his attitude cost ME a lot of extra time and money to straighten out the mess that he created. I have worked other lawyers in the Ottawa area and did not have any issues with them, no matter how large or small my problem. Definitely pass on this small town “clerk”.
