Communication could be a little better. Seems like every time I call the office, he's never in, and I have to leave messages. Sometimes he calls back. Sometimes I have to keep calling. I've been waiting for my settlement money for an injury at work for MONTHS now. He called me two months ago saying there was finally an offer, and said he could take it, or try to get me more. It's been in negotiations for months now, and nothing! Finally today, I just decided to take whatever the offer was instead of waiting any longer. I was told if I take this settlement, I may be able to get a check within days or by next week, so I'll see what happens. I could really use the money. Besides lack of good communication, keeping me updated, and the slow service - they do seem to know what they're doing.

This law office did a really poor job and compounded it by not trying to fix the issue. If I could give them a ¼ star rating I would. I randomly noticed my credit score dropped 70 points and I could not understand why, considering I hadn’t missed any payments, nor had I done anything to interrupt my credit standing. A week later I had a collections company call me a weeks after my case was finalized. The collections company said they were seeking payment from a medical bill pertaining to the case. I said all medical bills should have been paid through my lawyer Andrea Torgrimson with The Illinois Hammer Injury attorneys Dworkin & Maciariello. The collections company said they just talked to Andrea Torgrimson about collecting payment on a medical bill faxed over to them after the firm requested it. Gerald Connor was the original attorney assigned to my workers comp case. He said he'd help me obtain my settlement. He did nothing for 3 yrs.Bradley Dworkin said Gerald Connor left the firm and he'd work on my behalf to get me my settlement. He then not long thereafter wrote me a letter saying he made a court date to be dismissed as my attorney. These attorneys have done nothing but hurt me by lying to me and wasting time, 3 yrs of my workers comp case.

Overall bad experience that keeps getting worse as I await my settlement check(2 months after I signed release and had a verbal promise of a month max) About a year after final treatment from my doctor I decide to call them again for a status update to find out my attorney is actually working at a different firm without anyone communicating this to me. Fast forward another year to 5 months ago, I finally get a call from an actual person working on my case to tell me he is just not sending my claim to state farm. Another month after that I call to be told by his cronies that they need me to get more information and my case will not go further witbout it (i ended up doing all the work calling hospitals to send files over after I already faxed my copies the moment I got them) but this was just a worker without knowledge. Fast forward another three months and I finally get a settlement offer and a release form. Another headache with that as they didnt fax it for a month.

The settlement we were told we would receive is pitiful. It was supposed to be paid to us in May -- we're still waiting. They contradict themselves on the phone - when they bother to answer calls. Usually takes 3 or 4 calls to talk to someone. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM.

I enjoy working with the attorneys at Dworkin and Macieriello because they are very patient, knowledgeable, and dedicated. The attorneys did more than their best to convince the insurance company to agree to a reasonable settlement and although there were some obstacles, they got me a settlement in a timely manner. In addition, I enjoy how they contacted me on a regular basis to fill me in on the progress of the case and to obtain my permission before making decisions.

Knowledge: 5 because everything was done accordingly and I went through the stages of physical therapy and made sure I was completely healed before settling on anything. Communication: 3 because I only received information when I called, no one else had called me to let me know what was going on. Although, I DID get the correct information everytime; there wasn't any confusion. Tenacity: 3 because my case happened in june of last year and it took 9 months to settle it. Work quality: 5 because the man who came to take information down was extremely professional and besides the amount of time it took, things went smoothly with no complications or confusion. Value: definitely a 5. This was handled again, professionally and I'd without a doubt use this company again if need be.

overall I think that its a pretty good firm.My only dislike is lack of communication with my lawyer..my injury wasn't very serious and I felt like I got treated as a client like it wasn't. I would recommend this company to someone with serious injuries only not small ones like mine.

Overall, I had a great experience with this office. My only wish was that communication to me would've been a bit better. With that being said, every time I called I got prompt responses and good information. My claim started in 2008/2009 and they stayed on it even as the Ins. company dragged. Overall, a great experience and while I hope I never need their services again, I'd definitely recommend them.

When we first started this process I was simply expecting my medical bills to be paid. My case was handled efficiently and they valued my injury case, and fought for me to be compensated. I contacted Brad via e:mail on the details of a case for my husband. Not realizing whether I had a case or not, Brad contacted me within minutes of receiving my e:mail. He agreed to meet with me in person in a location convenient for me, in the southwest burbs. How many lawyers would do that? My husband's case involved his wrongful death. This Firm is terrible, has had my workman's comp case for over 1 year I have not been able to speak with Mr. Dworkin personnally until recently there was always one of his associates returning my call. I have no idea what is going on with my case. They has an associate who returned my call and told me I should be able to make it out here.. are you serious in the economy, no job no nothing coming in they could care less how my family and I survive.. I have lost so much dealing with this firm I don't suggest this for anyone. They are terrible!

I ask for help from Domnick no help I found other ways to get pd.was sent letter for doc appointment from them no suite or room number.Alot a talk about what the judge wants and w/c wants but not what I want our what i need. it has been 2 MONTHS since i injured my spine at work because of unsafe conditions. chose dworkin because hes supposedly in the top 5% of the best lawyers in illinois .... ahhaha that garbage makes me laugh so hard i could cry. i have not seen ONE CENT. i have a wife two children and a brand new baby :( i am about to be evicted, the truck we just got a month before my accident is about to be repoed, credit cards unpaid, and yet they are so uncaring and coldhearted, when i call the lawyer they treat me VERY RUDELY, as if i have no right to ask whats going on with my case, switched me to a different lawyer without telling me, when i call the new lawyer (eliasik) he has no idea whats going on with my case, he is constantly asking me to "refresh his memory" THIS IS MY LIFE DAMMIT! his office has called me 3 times to ask who my doctor is. after i filed my claim my job fired me,and he seems to be fine with this.from my heart, if you care for your family, LOOK ELSEWHERE, IM DUMPING THIS LOSER

I've been with brad for about 4-1/2 years now.Just like everyone says , you never get him by calling the office, he is always on another call . they tell you he will call back , and he does not.Then you call to ask what happened and his staff is rude to you.Like your bothering them.I'm just about ready to fire him and get a lawyer that will return phione calls and make my case a priority. He will be getting over 55000 for my case , and has done really nothing for it but go to court dates.My settlement contracts came and were full of miss-information. He should have looked them over before sending them to me, dont you think. I mean what is he getting paid for anyway.If i dont get some satisfaction soon he will be fired!!!!If i were you i would really look for a lawyer who will make your case a priority, this one does not. when i do talk to him , it seems he doesnt know whats going on with my case. I am so disappointed that I fell for their charm when we first met. However, since then I rarely hear back from my lawyer (only his gals). I was promised a certain amount for my settlment which is why I chose him over another lawyer, but that was a lie. I didnt even get half of what he said! I am constantly asking and they tell you what you want to hear when they finally do get back with you. Go else where! Find a firm that will communicate with you. These guys tell you so much crap it is crazy. They sound like they know what they are doing but never get back to you on anything. I have been trying to accomplish something for almost 2 years! Can't wait to get a settlement then not get any money for months as it sounds like everyone else has experienced. My family member works in the field and they are amazed at what has been taking place. Also, it is clearly obvious that the good reviews are written by someone from the firm or they know well. They are too professional and well written. Sounds like they are textbook answers. Bottom Line-don't use these guys if you ever want anything accomplished.

It is impossible to get a hold of someone who knows what is going on with my case. I am put on hold for several minutes at a time and then am told I will get a call back. I never do. Don't waste your time. Go somewhere else.

What a great Attorney never are we able to talk to him personally. We're told he will return are call. Yeah right!!! The only way we know a court date is coming up is to look on the computer. We call the law ofice to confirm the court date and same o same o we will send you a letter. If one does come in the mail you need to call the night before to see if it's been cancelled which it usually is. This has not been a good experience on our part. This law office needs to be accountable to it's clints by keeping them informed of their case. It has been 3 years now we still have no idea where we stand on the settlement.

I hired this lawyer and thought everything would be fine and they would handle it for me. I was still in treatment and out of the blue I get a call from Mr. Dworkin telling me he had great news, he had an offer for me of $1000.00. I was still in treatment with the specialist and going to therapy, there should not have even been an offer to consider. Then I found out that he did not know who my doctors were or where I was going to therepy. All this information had been faxed over to the original lawyer that was handling my case, who I later found out was not even with the firm any more. After that I would call to try to find out what was going on with my case because I had doctor bills piling up and collections breathing down my neck. I could never get him on the phone or get a return call. He should have been filing my bills with the worksmanscomp insurance all along and wasn't. I was making monthly payments to keep them from ruinig my credit. I do not recommend this lawyer to any one.

This lawyer made us wait for 3 years and then told us at the final hearing that the records were not beneficial for our case. He never had any info when we called him, his staff was incompetentand rude and then took 20% of our settlement when we did all the leg work and he did none. Then he took off the fees from our settlement payment for the records he received from the doctors. I would not recommend him to handle any case.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS LAW FIRM TO ANYBODY!! I never received any phone calls telling me the status of my workman's compensation claim. I would call several times a week and my attorney was never in his office. Then one day I called and the attorney that was working on my case was no longer working at the firm, and hadn't been for about a month. Nobody told me about this and I was told everything was taking care of and one of the other attorneys had taken over my case, but the receptionist did not know which one. About 2 months after I signed the papers to settle I called the firm and was told my settlement had been approved and that I would have my check in 2 weeks. A month later I still had no check. I was told I could pick up my check, but one was never printed out. Then I was told it was mailed out on Wed. 6 days later, no check. I contacted Mr. Dworkin himself, he stated the money was not yet in the account and did not want to hear how imcompatent his staff was.
