Michael is an excellent lawyer! Not only is he articulate, knowledgeable, and personable, but he is able to take very complicated legal documents and explain them with ease. Michael guided me through a very complicated spousal agreement which took considerable time and effort on his part to bring to a conclusion. Michael did not flinch when my case ended up going to trial in which he won. I ended up with an outcome that was way beyond my expectations. I had retained another lawyer ($3500 retainer and $350+/hour) when I was served with an Application for a Family Law Dispute. She dug me a hole so deep, I was uncertain of whether I would ever get out of it. I even had Ordered a separate lawyer for my child, and she ended up picking sides, not doing her investigation properly, and hurting my case further. I ended up retaining Mike, who is more affordable and much more timely and effective. He is very knowledgeable and professional, yet down to Earth and easy to talk to, and he will let you know if you do or do not stand a chance. He worked around the clock (literally - answering emails between 10 and 11 at night!). He helped me get out of the hole these two others put me in, and finished strong with our win of the remaining parts of our Settlement. Can not recommend Mike highly enough!!!

Choose your lawyer wisely. He might end up being best friends with your ex's lawyer. I spent nearly $2000 getting precisely nowhere. The two lawyers reaped the rewards via my hard earned money and her welfare benefits. After boldly stating that my ex and I had spoken about where we wanted to be and how we wanted to get there, little to no effort was made. Mr. Swindley ended up being a nearly devastating disappointment in a time when I needed hope.

I had gone through a few lawyers and was tired of being let down and not making any progress in my case. I actually googled "best lawyer in Kingston area" and his name came up. I had extremely high hopes for him, and he surpassed them all! He is very realistic and won't just say ok and take your money. Every time I told him something I wanted that he knew wasn't realistic, he would tell me right away that it wouldn't work so I wouldn't waste any money. I put my complete trust in him. Anything he thought was a good idea, or a bad idea. I was right to do so. I thought my case would be impossible (was even refused by lawyers) and Michael Swindley helped me come out victorious! I'd endured years in a long drawn out divorce with no settlement anywhere in site. Matters were bogged down in peripheral section 7 matters which seemed intentionally stalled by the other side. Mike was my 4th lawyer and I was feeling hopeless by this stage. Mike is a detail man, up front, efficient, honest and responsive on levels rarely seen with lawyers. I was instantly impressed.
