He makes promises he does not follow through with. He allows the other parties lawyer to gain control and steps back, he does not want to do the work. Therefore he is not representing, he is just going along for the pay. He and his office staff are unavailable at crucial times. He will charge you for repeatedly trying to get hold of him. If you want respect with one of the toughest things in life that most women have to get through, do not expect it from this lawyer.

This is the to go to guy for family law in Lanark or Leeds. Knows his stuff, gets results! 5*!

Had I taken Croxall's advice, my kid would have spent 50% of her childhood with a physically violent, erratically behaved, and substance-abusing "parent," and lived in relative poverty when with me. Fortunately I found proper representation -- and thanks to that and the Office of the Children's Lawyer, my child is well-protected from our former abuser, protected from further abuse (inc'l financial), and will never visit with the "parent" who traumatised her. He has appalling manners and boasts extensively, and seems to enjoy rambling on about how terrific he is when it comes to protecting children; his ego and poor understanding of abusers means he is an outright danger to children. The safety & & subsequent end to contact turned an anxious, frightened child into a secure, happy one with a bright future -- exactly the opposite of what Croxall thought would be best (and the only option!). He does NOT have the knowledge/understanding of the OCL he tries to boast of.

Some people have shabby offices/practices and take lots of Legal Aid cases because they are good people whose priority is not $ but wanting everybody to have good access to good legal representation. Some people have that going on because it is absolutely the best they can do with their capabilities. Croxall is quite painfully obviously in the latter category; if it weren't for Legal Aid, he'd have to get a job in the nearby Giant Tiger. Gives Legal Aid a bad name, unfortunately, but nobody in their right mind would actually retain this guy out of their own pocket. Avoid at all costs; you'd do better self-representing, given the appalling "help" and "advice" suggested by this oaf.

Worst lawyer ever ... Never showed for scheduled meeting .. Failed to cancel court hearing after repeated calls ( but charges for preparing and going )

Worst lawyer. NEVER RETURNS CALLS OR ANSWERS HIS PHONE. This is people's lives and never returning calls shows a huge lack of respect for his clients and it delays the process significantly.

Mr Croxall handled my case with outstanding professionalism and compassion.His knowledge concerning family law moved things along efeciently and most importantly effectively. I would recommend his services whole heartedly.

Hilariously bad. Appears to have all sorts of prejudices, seems quite confused when presented with any situation not conforming to same. Gave terrible advice, but was more interested in lecturing -- twice I had to _interrupt_ to clarify that I was _not_ seeking to limit child's access to Dad; still this was the subject of much astoundingly patronising rambling. Consummate non-professional; claimed friendships with, _or_ slandered ("about to be disbarred," "I don't know why anybody would hire him," etc), virtually every attorney on a list of ~ presented to him. Could not get out of grimy, above bowling alley/Salvation Army, office fast enough. Fortunately found competent attorney but would have done better representing myself than settling for Mr Croxall's suggested...settling. Weak representation without mediation skills = terrible lawyer.

Mr. Croxall knows his stuff! The people that wrote bad comments are totally misdirecting their anger! He settled my divorce and I am FINALLY getting ALL of the child support that I should be receiving from my ex! He knew just what to say in court and honestly, my ex's lawyer just ended up looking silly. I miss his assistant Laura, she was so nice and really helpful.

He needs a lesson on what a lawyer is suppost to do.. Didn't show up to court, nor did he call or answer his phone. Never returns call's, Communication is a must with a lawyer and he is lacking. If you have any hope on winning a case.. PLEASE Hire someone else, as he does not do his Job. All talk NO ACTION!

I have him as a lawyer right now and am considerinf firing him. makes meetings then I drive to SF and he's not there and didnt bother to call me to reschedule. Even didnt show up for court 2 weeks ago and he was in the court house that morning! Frustrating to say the least.

Secretary is extremely helpful, and always willing to listen. Mr. Croxall is very intelligent and down to earth. He is very honest with his opinions and legal advice, and I greatly appreciate his help with my divorce

I can not beleive someone can screw something up so badly. He pressured me in to making a settlement before trial and regret my decision to agree with him everyday, it was not the right choice, but for him it was an easy choice. I am now in mountains and mountians of paperwork to fix his mistakes!

does not return calls. takes at least one month to reach him. secretary is never there. she is never there till 10 am and is seldom there at all after lunch hour and a half to 3 hours. he likes to cancel appointments
