Carissa Sears will not refund the retainer fee she was paid to review a contract. She changed her mind about accepting the review. She has had nothing but excuses as to why she cannot return my fee.

I can with all honesty say that Carissa Sears is a vicious attorney. She has no regard for what's best for families - only herself. I've known her for many years, and have intimate experience with her as an attorney and a person. She seriously is not clear on anything and has no concept of what's right or wrong. All she cares about is taking. And when she gets exactly what she painfully forces for herself, not her clients, she takes even more, driving wedges between families, most importantly the children. She violates law, ethics, and humanity when it comes to thinking about children. She uses manipulative lies and vicious methods to satisfy her greed and lust for control. I highly recommend with a passion that you stay away from her as an attorney and as a person.

Strongly agree with the reviews already presented here. Involved in a legal case with her and a few other attorneys. She manipulates the law and bets against you not understanding it well enough to know when she has crossed the line between what's legal and what's not. Other attorneys knew what she was up to and did not condone her actions. She is illegally tenacious and am unsure how she has avoided being reported to a regulatory agency. She charged an outrageous retainer's fee with no valid legal results. Her performance only served to drive all parties farther apart from each rather other than help to achieve a resolution. Her communication style relies on intimidation and the belittling of others. She didn't research the case as thoroughly as she should have. Hope her family members never have to meet her on the opposite side of the table during a legal proceeding. Only relief is knowing that Karma will eventually catch up with her.

My husband and I hired Carissa for a child custody case. She did NOTHING but take our money. She was unprofessional and I (only later) found out that she has an awful reputation amongst Boulder county judges.

DONT waste your time here, she is not interested in the case only the fee amount. as boulder lawyers are in the good club of capitalism , interconnected to extending your suffering as long as possible for the almighty dollar.
