I am highly dissatisfied with the experience I had with attorney Craig Fields of Glickfeld, Fields, & Jacobson in Los Angeles. In September, 2010, I retained Mr. Fields to represent me in a divorce proceeding and represented to me that he was an experienced Family Law attorney. Mr. Fields is in fact, NOT a certified Family Law attorney and misguided me as to how to proceed with my case. Certification requires special classes and milestones.
Family Law has an entirely different set of rules than normal civil law. Mr. Fields was unaware of the vast differences in the way the law is administered, thus causing a long delay in case closure. Yet, he claimed to be an expert in Family Law; nothing could be further from the truth.
My wife asked for a restraining order and filed a domestic violence civil action against me in divorce court. Since he did not have family law experience, he did not know that a domestic violence matter takes precedence over all matters.
