Wow! what can i say...Your legal aid certificate first and tells you later what they are going to do with your case. I requested a meeting at first but I was told not to worry, they would gladly help, and then, will not update you when you want to but when she wants too! ( I have a breakdown she provided me, proving it.) They keep you updated on their terms and not yours and accuses you to be agressive when you are not so she can recuse herself and claim so many hours worked to legal aid billing. I have all my communications done in writing so they cannot prove aggressive from my part, but tells you that you are inappropriate when you are not, breaking the trust, and it's on purpose of course to control your case and not you controlling it...I had to remind her that she was working for me and not the other way around, shaken trust, and would like to be updated when I requested it since it was my "head" after all and I am not stupid but this lawyer didn't care at all...she the boss and

I haven't used her, but a friend of mine did that was up for charges that his ex wife in Cornwall put against him, they were going through a nasty divorce and she accused him of assault, trafficked weapons from his home in the USA to his house in canada, then accused him of theft etc... it was nasty nasty. Most lawyers in cornwall just give into domestics as they are impossible to fight. But, this TO lawyer put up a good fight and brought the evidence to the table... she's suppose to be a good trial lawyer. Its what you need in a domestic case now a days. Judges hate domestics and will throw the book at any male in the harshest way... so easy it is for a partner to accuse now a days without much proof. So, get a good lawyer. She's good, from what I was told and heard. From TO, so she's seen cases unlike many ottawa and cornwall lawyers which are mostly just plea bargain lawyers, big money in pleaing than trials...
