Cecil Whitley charged me 3k in a custody matter. Then he degraded me, scared me in to agreeing with things I didn't have to, started defending my abusive ex and belittling me to agree to things, messes up our order causing a Huge issue with our property case, forgot me in the courts meeting room and went back to his office, spent meetings talking about himself on my dime, had absolutely no knowledge about the facts and evidence I had sent to his office, etc. I ended up having to borrow money from someone to retain the Davis firm and fire him. I hate I lost 3k at such a horrible time in my life, but the Davis firm was worth every penny. Shop around!!

Don't use Cecil for divorce attorney horrible outcome. He has no desire to fight for you! !!

Very poor representation. Not a man of his word, taking the money, doing nothing but droppinng the client in middle of the case. Avoid this firm.

He is an inspiration to his kind. Cecil, is extremely busy, but the helpful staff and your own responsibility can ensure effective time management. He has helped me with a former employer suing me for non-existent issues, and several tickets for the family, along with filing for a name change for my son and other issues with an uninvolved parent. He is one of the most knowledgeable and effective lawyers in the state!

Received a Traffic ticket for 70 in a 55. Cecil used faulty equipment and got me out of the ticket. I did not have to appear and there weren't any points against my license or insurance. Excellent communications and called me right back with what I needed to do. I highly recommend him will definately use him again if needed. I thought of going to court myself but in Rowan County, don't be penny wise and dollar foolish. It seems his prices are inline with others.

Was told to come and spend a whole day in court to find out at the end of the day that I didn't need to be there. Spent a day in jail and was fined $700 because lawyer failed to mention that I could get license back for a silly $75 fee. Lawyer is inexpensive, but you are just a number among many other clients and don't get informed properly of what you need to get done. I recommend paying more for a lawyer that communicates with you properly and tells you exactly what you need to do and at what time. If you decide to go forward with this firm, make sure to always update yourself with deadlines with the helpful staff and the other lawyer in the firm, or you may have to pay for it big time like what happened to me. Be Careful.

Broad knowledge range that helps him relate and communicate on a level that you can easily understand. Also, knowledge in the field is extensive and that makes him more effective in less time resulting in a greater value with work quality that is excellect.

I filed for divorce in 05. Went to court, signed papers and was told it would be finalized 30 days later. Just got a summons to court saying it was never finalized, 2 YEARS later, and I got remarried this summer. Office screwed up and blames me. I have to show up in court again or will be in contempt and bigamous due to no fault of my own, but they blame me, whole attitude was basically I am an idiot who doesn't know what I'm talking about even though I did go to court and did not imagine the whole thing or imagine what I was told 2 years ago. Unbelievable.

Great lawyer. I got a ticket for failure to stop at a stop sign and he got me faulty equipment. My family has used him many times in traffic violations and not one of us have received any points.
