Both Angela DiDonato and Jaclyn Nelson (her associate) will scare you into thinking that DCFS will take away your child so that they can take your money. That is ALL they care about - money, money, money. I had a horrible experience with this firm and with Angela. I wish I could take it all back. STAY AWAY, unless you like throwing away your money. Both Attorneys are very rude and will do EVERYTHING they can to scare you in order to take your money. They overreact and make situations must worse then they are.

Angela represented us as foster parents, and she was a great advocate for what was in our foster child’s best interest. She really helped us navigate one of the most difficult and stressful periods in our lives and we couldn’t be more grateful. Not only is she a very good attorney and has a lot of connections in the system, she is also a really caring person. When we were at court waiting for our case to be called, she would talk to people and take a genuine interest in them. She encouraged us to meet and get to know some of our foster child’s family, and she counseled them as well, in some cases on personal matters unrelated to the case. She walked over to a family that had just finalized their adoption and offered to take a group photo. You can see she cares and has integrity, only taking cases that she feels will make a positive impact. She is very clear and explains things so that we have a realistic picture of the possible outcomes. I couldn’t recommend her more highly.

Angela was my attorney for many years. She was always very attentive to what was going on in my life. Went above and beyond for my needs. I received great advice from her thru out my adolescence. She really does care about the children she represents. I would highly recommend her for any case. My family and I value all her efforts for the 14 years she had my case. All together she is a great person, does her job and then some.

When the LA court appointed my child an attorney, I was so happy the truth would finally be told, I was so naïve and wrong. She manipulates words, she lies, tells the children what to say to win what she wants. My child hates her and is in full time therapy because of this lawyer's manipulation of the truth and the support she gives the narcissistic father who pays for no child support basically has a free lawyer. She acts like the free Attorney to the him giving free advice on the LA courts dime. I watched it in court. She keeps the fight going between parents so she keeps getting paid. SICK! She is not an advocate of the children, she is an advocate of the parent she can promote better with the hate against the other parent to get paid from the court. I wonder how many children she has destroyed with her power in the LA court system. She should be removed as a child advocate. I am sure there are many complaints against her and I am sure the courts ignore them. Disgusting

Avoid this attorney. She is "shell-shocked" from a tragedy involving one of her child clients several years ago and this has rendered her ineffective as a child advocate. During her representation of my daughter, she had an opportunity early in the case to remove my daughter from her mother's custody but refused to do so (by this time it was clear to the court and everyone involved that my daughter's mother was making false allegations of abuse and was engaged in parental alienation). From that point on, her main goal seemed to be prolonging the case - and two years later, when I finally threw in the towel, she had the nerve to accuse me of "sabotaging" her efforts. In reality, she was correct - I sabotaged her efforts to continue the case, in perpetuity. She is a very skillful attorney and I'm certain that before the tragedy she was an awesome attorney, but she has issues that should lead her to exit a game she can no longer be effectual at.

She is not for the best interest of the child but she is in it for the best interest of her bank account. Unprofessional to intimidate clients and manipulate the facts.

Ms. di Donato did an excellent and thorough job as a minor’s counsel. In a highly contested child custody battle, in trying to reach child’s best interest she investigated by carefully reviewing past court proceedings, interviewing involved parties including lawyers, therapists, child custody evaluator and saw right through the smokescreen that was trying to be created by an alienating mother. I highly recommend her as minor’s counsel in highly contested child custody battles if you want the truth to come out.
