He took my DWI case for a $1,500.00 retainer. He did file the paperwork needed to retain in a timely manner, but then proceeded to file delays while the state worked on finding "discovery". I was told it was a slow process. I was sent a copy of the discovery almost six months later, and it was somewhat of a relief to read that my BAL was quite under the legal limit, but anxiety prescription medication was also found in my bloodstream, as I told him it would be.
Six months later, I'm instructed to be at the courthouse and he will meet me there. I sat for what seemed like almost an hour nervously waiting to meet with him, and expecting that we would take maybe five minutes to go over the results of the " discovery". That never happened. He spoke with me for all of 2 brusk minutes out in the hallway; saying that a alcohol DWI charge is better than a drug DWI charge. I asked him why is that? and how could I be charged with a alcohol DWI if my BAL was way under the legal limit? It was
