Very nice and (seemingly) caring attorney, but he failed to prepare and he represented my wife in such a carless manner it honestly made me cry afterward the hearing. Too have to sit through the court session not being able to speak up or say anything was pure torture for me!
His (lack of) representation was simply criminal. I don't have a lot of money, so when the flat fee was explained it sounded as if it would save us from spending money we didn't have. For the $2,500 he took from my wife an I, he maybe put in about an hours worth of effort, and that was the meeting he took with us where he described our situation as worthwhile.
When we met him on court day he was feverishly thumbing through the paperwork we provided to him (well in advance of the hearing) and he even commented that I had sent him to much paperwork (a few emails and a 15 minute hearing transcript is to much?).
Even at a very lofty $500/hour fee, I would expect a refund of $2000.
Shame on you Mr. Lane; Shame
