I needed representation in Raleigh (Wake County). I live out of state and needed someone that I could trust to navigate the local environment and find the best way to progress the case.
I interviewed at least half a dozen different lawyers in the area.
Both Tim and Donna were extremely knowledgeable, happy to share that information, and extremely easy to deal with. A flat fee gave me the visibility up front for what I was committing to and made it very easy to engage.
We have just wrapped up a two year ordeal. Tim was active and engaged, gave great advice, stayed in touch and kept me up to date.
This was my first time going through this, but I have now learned a lot. In particular, I got to see a lot of other lawyers in action while sitting in the courtroom. It made me even more confident in my selection - Tim was head an shoulders above the others.

My son was stopped for a DUI in January 2016. We did some research on attorneys and decided on Tim Vanderweert. It was the best decision we could have made. Mr. Vanderweert and his paralegal Donna are compassionate, hard working, honest, and extremely knowledgeable professionals. Both of them will go above and beyond to help you get thru this difficult time. Mr. Vanderweert took my son's case to trial and we were overjoyed when he was able to get it dismissed. During this time my son also received a speeding ticket which Mr. Vanderweert was able to get reduced to improper equipment. Mr. Vanderweert knows the DUI/traffic laws inside and out. Of course not all cases get dismissed but Tim will be honest with you upfront and let you know your options. Hopefully we are never in this situation again, but if we were there would be no hesitation in who we would call. Your best bet if you are in this situation is to call Tim.

My Vanderweert is an excellent and very knowledgeable DWI attorney who has an excellent paralegal 'Donna' to support you as a client. I blew a 0.26 in my DWI in June 2015 and my case was dismissed(Yes DISMISSED) this month. The only reason was because i hired the best in Tim. He is very professional and upfront on what to expect in each of the court dates and in my case i was lucky to have him. He not only knows the in's and out's of how the court dates work but also knows how to manuver any obstacles and get you in front of the right Judge and also in my case he played with the dates to extend my case to the last court date possible where he got it dismissed in front of the judge in just 5 mins.

I am very pleased with his services for DUI representation. Based on what Mr. Vanderweert did I was found innocent of a charge of DUI in Wake County where I had been stopped at a checkpoint at 11:30 at night on the way to my home. I blew a .12 and therefore did not think I would be able to be found guilty, but due to the fact that Mr. Vanderweert claimed that the officer who arrested me didn't have jurisdiction the court threw out my case. I am very grateful because I would have lost my public job if I was found guilty. Thank you so much Mr. Vanderweert!

Mr Vanderweert is an amazing, knowledgeable, and highly skilled traffic attorney. He has wonderful communication and interpersonal skills and a caring and friendly attitude. I was charged along with 8 others in an approx.3-4 hour time period for "driving on a closed highway" when there were no signs to indicate the exit ramp we were trying to take was closed. I am terrified of public speaking, and broke down in tears when he was preparing me to testify. He was able to make me feel safe and confident just prior to and during my testimony. This is not an easy thing to do for me. I am the only one to be found "NOT GUILTY" that I know of thus far. And I have been told that 5 of the other lawyers plead "NO CONTEST". I thank Jesus for leading me to select Mr Vanderweert.

Tim Vanderweert – The best :
I was charge with a DWI in one of the notorious corridors, outside of Raleigh. I cannot give you my name or the city, as I don’t want to become a victim, again, of this aggressive police force. There are many factors that affect the outcome of a DWI/DUI case, there are no guarantees that your case will be like mine, however, you should always hire the best attorney possible. I write this not to propagate drunk driving, but rather to check aggressive police enforcement. If you are drunk and impaired, you should not be on the road driving, we all agree on that. My attorney, Tim Vanderweert, specializes in DWI cases, is one of the best. I found him on the internet and he was the highest rated and I want to keep him there. Although it took 9 months, he just had my case thrown out of court, a very big win, better than not guilty. I cannot say enough about Tim V. If you need DWI attorney, I would highly recommend him.

Mr.Vanderweert did a fantastic job helping me get a charge dismissed that was YEARS old and was preventing me from being able to get a valid NCDL. Got my speeding ticket to disappear pretty much. Good work. Only possible issue was that I did have to ask him for an update after the court date, rather than receiving some sort of note from him saying all went well. Honestly, though, who cares. At the price he offered, the service was WELL WORTH IT. Will use again (hopefully not necessary :) ) and recommend to others. Probably saved me hundreds if not thousands in the long run.
