My mother has been deceased for 10 yrs. Gary J Wojtan has not fulfilled his duties. There are still unclaimed funds in the NYS comptrollers office. The Judge finalized the accounting of said estate knowing full well that these resources were still outstanding they are still there now as of this posting. There is no justice in NYS surrogates court. Why is this law firm not investigated and allowed to continue to practice with these numerous complaints?They made numerous errors on the accounting and lost the file for an entire year. The will was not complicated there is no valid reason why it should take 10 yrs. Gary J Wojtan needs to be investigated and held accountable. I have contacted the FBI and intend to go public with this matter if it is not resovled quickly enough is enough.

This Firm is a joke. They refuse to return calls let alone file paperwork. Divorce papers have been waiting to be filed since March 5, 2018. If you are represented by this firm and you are in a similar situation as I am where they refuse to do their jobs. Write and send letters to the Grievance Committee for the Eighth Judicial District to complain about them and hopefully they will Bar all the Attorney's at this firm.They have no Ethics what so ever

I gave Gary this rating because he has done nothing for me. Can't get his act together. Almost a year since my mother has passed away and nothing has been doing. Was told on may 12 that my executor papers would be to me in 7 to 10 days. What a joke. He hasn't even filed them nor my mothers will. Gave him a retainer and he wanted more. To me my advice is DON"T HIRE HIM.

In my personal opinion. dealing with this lawyer you're better off reading the law books yourself. I found nothing good about this lawyer, don't return phone calls, missed court dates I show up to court by myself without a lawyer. I was told to try to take a plea deal to keep from getting a record. But if I'm innocent why would I take a plea deal definitely a bad lawyer in my personal experience

Hired him for a will contest involving my late aunt. I paid him $5500-he told me we would get depositions, and at least I would have peace of mind knowing what happened. He said I had a 50-50 chance of winning. He told me he had 2 or 3 similiar cases over the last 2 years, and won every one. He assigned the case to his brother Thomas, who told me he had "teeth." He was totally controlled by the Judge, Hayden in Elmira, NY, who was hostile, and favored the opposing attorney. Mr. Wojtan acted like a total wimp in this case, and failed to put any pressure on this Judge-who did not want to give me the examination of witnesses I was entitled to. He made a ruling in favor of my crooked cousins. Subsequently, we were allowed a mediation hearing, in which Mr. Wojtan got nothing for us, seemed totally lost and indecisive. Subsequently, I paid him another $5000 to file an appeal, which, you guessed it, he lost. He then told my sister we only had a 5% chance to win. I feel cheated.

Gary is the worst lawyer ever. I'm amazed he still has a license. Lazy and incompetent. His staff is clueless. If you need a lawyer do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Gary Wojtan does not return calls or pick up the phone. He needs to do some follow up to practice law effectively.
