Probating an estate is the biggest pain in the butt I've ever had to deal with, I will never do it again. This was the cheapest lawyer we could find, so in essence we got what we paid for. We had really low expectations, we had never probated an estate, but my dad decided that creating a will was apparently not worth his time. I think if you could afford a good lawyer, you should get one! Most days talking to Mr. Nelson was worse than dealing with the harassment we received from the opposing side. He'd say one thing, but then the next conversation would be something different and he wouldn't remember the initial conversation. We'd get papers in the mail from probate court with court dates because something wasn't done in a timely manner, little did we know he wasn't keeping us in the loop about much of anything. We asked for things to be emailed, provided his secretary with the email address and also sent him emails from the email address we needed paperwork sent to.... She'd still se
