We had this lawyer do up paperwork for a normal sale of a property. It ended up taking 4 MONTHS just to finish the paperwork, and then his quote of $800 to do the work had been bumped up to $1400, and there was a $600 "contract" fee, plus numerous other charges. It ended up costing us over $3000 just to sell! All of that after a quote of $800 - plus he complained all the time about how hard he had to work, and how inconvenient it all was to have to contact the mortgage company and arrange payouts etc. He wrote up 3! different contracts because every time he faxed them to us, they had wrong numbers on them, or our names were misspelled - He also does NOT have a website OR use email! Every time we needed to talk to him, we would have to call and leave a message with his secretary for him to call back (which was always a day or two later) I would NOT recommend this lawyer, we felt very ripped off by him and the bogus charges that he was able to make legit on paper.
