I had a TERRIBLE experience with Attorney Robert Sparks and the firm he is associated with, Givens Law Firm. He gave bad advice that has cost me dearly in time with my child as well as in the excessive fees I was charged. He came to our first hearing unprepared, and with no reasonable responses to the judges questions. When faced with an offer for child support, he suggested a ridiculous number. I in turn trying to recover from his misstep suggested doubling the amount and the judge agreed to that (also a ridiculous number). Attorney Sparks was fired on the spot immediately after the hearing. In the short time I was represented by him he racked up $12,000 in excessive legal fees. I spoke to his partner, Stan Givens directly to try to salvage the relationship and he couldn't be bothered. I was directly affected by the outcome of the one hearing for two and one half years due to his bad (and wrong) legal advice and his inept actions in the courtroom.
