I cannot recommend working with Mr. Siegwart. Initially, our communication was smooth and quick. Only exception was a letter he or his staff wrote on my behalf that was riddled with typos and grammar issues and which I corrected myself.
Later on, his services declined drastically in quality. Never responded to phone calls. Rarely responded to emails, and only excruciatingly slowly if ever. Often had to be reminded. This despite having hired him to work on an urgent matter. He and his staff let an important letter addressed to me lie around their office for a month. I only found out about it after repeatedly asking about incoming correspondence.
He blamed Corona and the restrictions, but I don't see why he couldn't respond to emails, or at least let people know in advance that response times would be slower. I was left guessing at all times.
I eventually had to fire him and hire another attorney. Siegwart was nice enough to refund half his fee.

Mr. Siegwart was very quick in his initial response and advised me well with my international legal problem. On top of it he is just a very nice person.

Beibehaltungsgenehmigung. That's the word that kept popping into my head. Should I have applied for one of those a long time ago? Is it too late? That nagging feeling kept coming up. I scheduled an introductory phone call with Herrn Siegwart for a week out and eagerly anticipated resolution. Mr Siegwart patiently listened to my immigration history and the questions I had. He answered my questions. All of them. On the spot. And yes, he did stop my worries. He is one of those rare lawyers who want to fully understand and truly have their (prospective) clients interests at heart. I think I would have enjoyed working with him on my "case" - it's just that there was no case and I could just file my papers to resolve the situation. Thank you! While it was a short conversation and since he did indeed solve my issue I was surprised when he refused to invoice me for his time.
