Finding Shawna was the turning point in my family law case for the better. To this very day I look on her as an angel that will forever have a slice of me and my families hearts for being there for us the way she was. I hold her in the utmost highest regard for not only how good of a lawyer she is, but how good of a person she has to be to conduct herself so professionally in the repetitive nature of families tearing eachother apart and all the ugliness that happens over and over. To witness and deal with such horrid people is truly saintly.

Fantastic person awesome lawyer. Made a stressful time of life much easier , cares about you and family ,and not her bank account .Went up against two of the high payed lawyers in Vancouver and made them look like talking heads.Thanks Shawna

What can I say? Shawna and the ViewPoint Team took over during the most stressful time of my life and guided me through the maze of litigation. This woman is truly a super-hero in court. She shines under pressure. She honestly knew the details of my life better then I did! I truly felt at peace with her at the helm. Well, what can I say about this amazing human being! Shawna took over my case after I fired my previous lawyer for her unprofessionalism and laziness and charging me for over a year and not moving forward with anything. I was so fortunate to have found Shawna and her team. I consider her like an angel that was sent to me and my kids during the most stressful time of our lives. She was very professional and knowledgeable from day one. Her knowledge about family law is unbelievable! I had a very complicated case and the opposing lawyer who presented my ex was everything but professional and Shawna dealt with her with grace and professionalism that was beyond expectations. Shawna is very approachable and explains the complicated law language in clear and simple words for her clients! Her performance during trial was exceptional. Shawna was fantastic - immensely knowledgable and very much able to give me direction in this first meeting, which is so much more than I have received in the past. She was able to let me know what I needed to focus on, what I shouldn't waste my time and money on, and gave me a strategy moving forward. She is honest and direct and I would highly recommend her. I only wish I had met with her sooner, having been in and out of court for over 4 years in custody hearings.

Forget "Better call Saul". Shawna L. Specht Barrister & Solicitor is by far the best lawyer I have ever had. Her dedication to her clients is amazing. She is a fighter and does not roll over. In my situation she guided me threw 3 levels of the BC and Supreme Court Of Canada. She won on every level. Shawna is not the type of lawyer you can never get a hold of by phone. I can not say enough about her and her staff. Shawna has the highest degree of integrity. She has the amazing ability to strike at the precise moments with total accuracy. Yet also she has a gentle side when need be. My final statement is, if you are looking for a family lawyer you need look no further. I have 100% faith in Shawna and would trust her with my life and have with fantastic results.

I have worked with Shawna for years when I needed help, she is an excellent person and a great lawyer. I would recommend her without hesitation and have done so. It is with sincere pleasure to add my commentary here in view of Shawna's representation during my recent divorce and appeal proceedings in Vancouver. Her trial preparation, communications and negotiations with the opposing counsel were nothing less than exhaustive and stellar and her acute ability for recall of the smallest of details proved invaluable. Regretfully it was necessary to appeal the original trial order through no fault of Shawna's arguments and her professional and steadfast presentation to the Justices of the BC Court of Appeal resulted in the success first sought at the outset in this challenging legal forum. I never doubted her wisdom and ability but came to question that of the Judicial System itself early on however Shawna comforted and guided me throughout all of the challenges we faced. She exceeded my highest expectations fighting to remedy an injustice through the Court of Appeal and succeeded in protecting my families future for which I am very grateful.

I met with Shawna in a 1 hour paid consultation regarding a Child Support matter. Viewpoint was the 3rd firm I met with. The first 2 consults I had with other firms left me with more questions, and I dealt with sales tactics to get my retainer. In stark contrast, the moment I stepped into Viewpoint they were really listening to me. I think she is fabulous, and frankly I thought that she could have been more aggressive (certainly the opposing side was more aggressive than we were). The process drug on way longer than I would have thought, but that is the system's fault. Divorce is an industry, a disgusting industry, full of 'hired gun' so called experts and lawyers with personal agendas. I thought Specht performed well, was honest and upfront, and cared about me and the kids. Watch out for the law firms that claim to only represent 'high net worth families' - you know all they want is the money, and to drag it out as long as possible.

I did not feel comfortable with her and had a bad feeling about putting my fate in her hands. After one interview and a few phone calls I decided not to use her services. My impression is that she is fake. She took the nice act too far. Her boyfriend hangs around the office like a body guard/secretary. It just felt all wrong.
