Caused more issues than solved them. Billed monthly yet nothing was being accomplished. Spent well over 30k in the 10 years I had her as my divorce lawyer and then when the situation wasn’t getting resolved, she dumped me as a client. Do not recommend!

My complaints are endless. This woman will go to lengths to add conflict to already difficult situations, even though she promotes collaborative law, she struggles to practice it. She has embarrassed me and made my family matter more contentious than it ever needed to be. She’s a dirty/sharp practicing lawyer and I would not recommend. Her tactics are to bully and intimidate the other party and her trial skills are mediocre. It took my newly retained lawyer almost 3 years to fix the mess she made. She is impulsive and reckless and it is beyond me she has not been disciplined more than she has by the Bar Society of New Brunswick. She’s quick to take your money, is very willing to drain your bank account and keep the conflict rolling to ensure she gets her billable hours. 0/10. Do not recommend, will not recommend and caution all who consider this solicitor in any regard.

Terrible lawyer! After almost 2 years with this lawyer, she did nothing for me but send me a big bill. She's impossible to get a hold of via phone, email and even double booked one of my appointment times. If you want to deal with her assistant the majority of the time, then call her, because that's what will end up happening. She made decisions about cancelling a court date without my consent, and even the lawyer representing my ex said she's impossible to get a hold of. She'd rather gossip during your appointment and tell you her thoughts on your ex's personality, instead of dealing with your case or giving you legal advise. I underatand she practices collaborative law, but my case was perfect that, and she was still unable to devote enough time to close it. After hiring another lawyer, my case was settled in 2 months out of court. Strongly DO NOT recommend Mary-Eileen.
